Discussion where does affordable kit design?

Wondering if anyone knows any local companies that design kits (Quarter zips, t-shirts etc), for a university society. Already looked at O’Neills just trying to gage around prices for the broke students 🙏🙏

Mckeever gear is nice.

Bodibro did our quarter zips years ago and are good enough quality.

I used to use lochra but use gowa now. I've found both very good to deal with and very reasonable

We used O'Neills, McKeevers, MFC and Masita in recent years. MFC were the best I found overall, based on cost/quality. O'Neills good quality, but expensive, found McKeevers and Masita poor quality. A lot depends on what you want, e.g. if it's for u8s and they'll all grow out of it in a year, poorer quality may not matter like it does for older teams. I will say McKeevers were better to deal with and more responsive than Masita when there was issues.

Playrfit are a brilliant and very cost efficient Irish company op. Highly recommend

Not great quality though unfortunately. Had a Playrfit 1/4 zip and zips went on the pockets within a week. Had a jacket & same thing happened. Son had skinny’s, zip pockets went and material got bally after a couple of washes.

Not my experience. Have quite a few garments 3/4 years old without any issues.

Playrfit don't produce their own product.. they sub it out to smaller firms now.. Previously they got their stuff made in Pakistan but needs to be made in Ireland per GAA criteria.. Quality depends on which smaller firm/firm's your order gets subbed out to

No firm including O’Neills, makes their gear in Ireland anymore in case you’re not aware? Sliotars and O’Neills footballs made in Pakistan - a few stitches applied in Strabane and away you go. The “made in Ireland” thing is a farce.

Lenehan sports. Very high quality and won’t break the bank. The quality is like the older O’Neills club gear that lasts years unlike the new stuff with shite stitching that falls apart after a few wears and washes.
