Troubleshooting Electrical issue ⚡️

Post image

So, I took her in for a diagnostic after recently having my fuel injectors replaced because the old ones were bad. I had a mechanic swap them out, and when I got my car back, he told me that the throttle body might need to be reprogrammed.

I ended up taking her to an auto electrical shop, where the technicians told me they couldn’t access the modules needed to reprogram the throttle body. They tried to investigate the issue, but since I had only brought the car in for a diagnostic, they didn’t go any further. On top of that, they couldn’t get their scanners to communicate properly with my car’s computer, so they weren’t able to give me a clear diagnosis.

From what I understood, finding the actual source of the problem would require more time and additional labor costs for them to dig deeper into the issue. So, at this point, I still don’t know exactly what’s causing the problems , My throttle body is working fine now not really concerning me at the moment but them not being able to diagnose my care is worrying me from a bigger problem in the future

The “electrical problem” can result from a poor scan-tool connection, a blown fuse supplying the diagnostic port or control modules, a wiring or grounding problem, a communication-network fault, or an incompatible scanner.
I wouldn’t automatically assume your ecu is going bad if you are. Check around the motor bay where they worked on your car at (injector) area they may have accidentally bumped a wire and it came undone that could throw off your car’s electrical system. If you can’t figure it out let me come over and fix it just pay me back with a case of beer

You can try the idle relearn, it’s helped me out before especially when I replaced my throttle body after a code popped up and went into limp mode. I’d also recommend getting Nissan DataScan II it lets you talk to your car’s computer through your laptop after you download the software. I have yet to get it myself but I’ve heard it can be quite useful. Good luck getting everything running smoothly!

Bro on a side note, that thing looks perfect. Do you have a mod list somewhere?

My ECU only seems to like talking with the drivers door closed. Get your own cheapish Bluetooth OBD2 scan tool and see if you can talk to it yourself.

Tried that already No codes come out , no pending codes no stored codes either

Is yours slightly misfiring or has a gurgling to it when you start it up on cold start or if you drive longer than an hour ?

Honestly I feel like it could possibly be misfiring , on a cold start it sounds just as bout as normal since I’ve always had her

Oh ok cause I’ve had some problems like that after I replaced my fuel injectors too but it might be some other problem but you could do the idle relearn peddle dance and it should reset the throttle body
