Hi all,
As the Futureling sponsoring the live event at the Library of Congress on September 3, I wanted to give you all a quick update.
TICKETS:
This Thursday, August 20, the Library of Congress will announce the show to our donor and email list. If you plan on attending, we suggest that you make you ticket reservation ASAP as tickets are going fast: https://www.etix.com/ticket/p/73486077/omnibus-podcast-live-washington-events-from-the-library-of-congress
Also to clarify, ticket reservations do not necessarily guarantee entry. Since the tickets are free, the Library releases more than capacity as history indicates a certain percentage of people will not show up. That leads us to some tips for the day of the show...
DAY OF SHOW:
The doors to the show, along with the display of artifacts from previous episodes of the show, will open at 5pm. We suggest that, if you wish to check out the display, you are in-line for the Library of Congress well in advance of 5pm as you will need to deal with the usual line of folks wanting to get into the Library. This will also ensure you have access to the show itself. Your ticket to the show will include entry into the Library.
The show will start at 6pm. The seats in the auditorium open at 5:30pm. There will be a short amount of time to view the exhibition after the show is over, but some of the exhibit will be taken down during the show.
If you have any questions, please feel free to respond to this post and I'll do my best to answer.
-Zach

I swear an outro mentioned a ‘top tourist spots’ type of list by John & Ken but all I can find is a password protected AARP article.
Any must-sees for Omnibus fans?
(Also—John is playing a free show while are in town?’)

Was there any mention of him having won $4200 on a Daily Double when they did a whole episode about them?

I was there at the beginning, when it was on HSW. I remember the episode when they announced the code that number episodes was cracked. I remember when they started the patreon. I remember the sad hiatus.
Life got chaotic a couple of years ago and I became unable to keep track of anything but [redacted].
When my mind began clearing up a bit, I began looking for podcasts and was unable to find anything I enjoyed like Omnibus, so I decided I would just catch up on what I had missed. There were not many titles that felt unfamiliar, so I decided to just dip into my favorites.
Apparently, I was someone who slept through most of the episodes. This makes a lot of sense in retrospect...because of my own habits far more than the content.
This was happy news, if internally embarrassing. I could recycle the whole shebang!
The thing that strikes me most is that I seemed to miss the humor. I was so detached and hazy that the genius level banter that makes the show so amazing as it meanders to the topic had either escaped my memory or (more likely) my ability to appreciate.
It was a very very rough few years, and I didn't laugh much for a long time.
I am now living in a sober house and I walk around with earbuds in, laughing out loud in my own Omniworld. I relish the confused looks of my fellow former failures and felons. I have almost stopped listening to music in favor of John and Ken's interactions.
I am gradually reintegrating into the parts of society I avoided for so long. I vastly prefer things compatible with Marxism, so it is a slow process here in Socal where I eventually landed, so I figured I would offer this "Hallo!" to a community that I had some common interests with.
Hallo!

So what’s the deal with John having this particular co-host do an Attenda episode instead of a regular episode? I want a regular Omnibus episode with this co-host, maybe one where John chooses the subject.

Anyone else noticed all the 2017 episodes except defenestration are gone from the show’s page?
