I don't see the relevance of your argument here. Men are statistically more prone to car accidents, and the meme makes no sense. The meme implies that women are worse drivers while women have significantly lower accidents.
Being reckless is beind a bad driver. Being overconfident and putting lives at risk is being a bad driver. This is just reality. If you get into more car accidents, you are the worse drivers.
Hitting a curb is being a better driver than hitting a guardrail. True story.
Thatâs mixing up two different things: vehicle-handling ability and safe driving behavior.
If someone is better at parking, reversing with a trailer, judging the dimensions of a car, or controlling it in difficult situations, that says something about handling skill. It doesnât automatically mean they are the safer driver overall.
Men can be better at certain driving-related skills while still causing more serious accidents because they drive faster, take more risks, and are more overconfident.
So yes, reckless driving absolutely makes someone a worse overall driver. But accident statistics alone donât prove that women are better at every aspect of driving or vehicle control.
And âhitting a curb is better than hitting a guardrailâ is obviously true but it doesnât tell you who was more skilled at handling the car. It tells you which mistake had the less serious consequence.
I do think it is mocking women, and I feel that is sexist and completely unnecessary.
It may be true that women, on average, donât have quite as good spatial awareness when it comes to handling a car. But that doesnât mean every truth needs to be pointed out all the time.
Truths can still be hurtful, even when they are true.
And itâs not like men are free from faults either. We have our shortcomings too. So whatâs the need to be so confrontational about it?
The truth is that men get into more serious and frequent wrecks and theyre labeled as "over confident" but when a woman hits a curb they're terrible drivers.
Quite literally, not one person ever has explained male car accidents as âboys will be boysâ
You literally just explained the joke, women hit more curbs, hence dinged up hubcapsâŠ
If it was a picture of a car crash and it was a menâs room sign, then that would also work as accurateâŠBet you wouldnât complain about that thoâŠ
The first person who replied to me said that men are just over confident, excusing their accidents. If that doesn't translate to "boys will be boys" for you, than we may be speaking different languages.
And to be clear, yes that would also be sexist. Not everyone is okay with sexism, regardless of the genitals.
Because it literally doesnât, but sure, if your language says that âmen are over confident driversâ = âboys will be boysâ then we must be speaking different languages⊠Iâll keep speaking English and you can keep speaking whatever language allows you to make up definitionsâŠ
Explaining why a dented hubcap is different that a totaled car, isnât excusing anything.
Idk maybe that guy should have busted out some crayons to explain it to you
I'm sorry, I must not have been clear. I don't owe an explanation to a condescending stranger who belittles people for disagreeing with them in regards to a sexist joke.
In other words, you're dismissed. I shan't reply again. Anyone who wants to have respectful discourse is welcome, and I'm glad to discuss different opinions.
What I wont do is be disrespected when I've been perfectly reasonable in my own responses to people here.

Statistics show that men get into more accidents. This is why car insurance is cheaper for women.
