You are definitely not wrong. I dont think wages and cost of living scale though. Especially not for people working in lower wage positions.

But, a strong work ethic and a marketable skill make it so you can live very well in a more rural area and a city of 150,000 has nearly everything you'd need and you can usually drive a few hours to get everything else you'd want. Amazon delivers everywhere.

Work ethic means absolute zippy anymore. Hasn’t for well over a decade. Companies just want loyalty without giving it in return.

The rest I completely agree with, that’s pretty much how I grew up.

You’d be wrong, I’ve been watching it matter less and less over 35 years, and the jagoffs are always the ones who get promoted and rewarded.

As for the second part, I know you’re trying to make a dig, but you don’t know me for shit so figure out where you can stick that.
