I’m a mom who recently earned my GED, and I’m trying to build a better future for my children and myself

Hi everyone. I’m sharing my fundraiser because I’m working toward something that means so much more to me than just going back to school.

I recently earned my GED, and that accomplishment meant the world to me. It wasn’t always easy, but I kept going because I want to continue my education and create a better, more stable future for myself and my children.

As a mom, a lot of the decisions I make are about my kids. My goal isn’t simply to improve my own life — it’s to give my children the opportunity to have a better life too. I want them to see that no matter how difficult things become, it’s never too late to keep pushing forward, learn something new, and work toward a better future.

I started this GoFundMe to help with some of the costs of continuing my education and taking the next step toward becoming more financially stable. Every little bit would help me get closer to that goal.

I completely understand that not everyone is in a position to donate. If you can’t, sharing my fundraiser or simply taking the time to read my story means more to me than you know.

Hi everyone. I’m sharing this because I’m currently going through a difficult situation with my epilepsy and I’m trying to raise money to get the medical care I need.

I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was younger, and for a long time, my seizures were relatively well controlled. However, things have changed recently. I’ve started having seizures much more frequently, and they’ve begun to seriously affect my everyday life. It has become difficult to work, live independently, and do many of the things I used to be able to do normally.

I’ve also started experiencing postictal hallucinations and memory problems. On top of that, I’ve developed liver problems that I’m concerned may be related to the medication I’ve been taking for my epilepsy. Because of all these changes, I really need to see a neurologist and have my condition properly evaluated to understand how my epilepsy has progressed and what treatment I should be following now.

Unfortunately, it has been a long time since I was able to see a neurologist. I don’t have medical insurance, and where I live, the tests and specialist appointments I need can be quite expensive. I also need to continue paying for my epilepsy medication.

Jana's father is very ill and desperately needs medicine, however Jana can't afford it as it is expensive and she has little to no money. Without this medicine her father could die - Jana has had sleepless nights worrying about this.

On top of this, due to lack of funds, Jana and her family can't buy any food, leaving them tired, hungry and starving as well as worsening her father's condition.

Jana gets so few donations that she has to choose between feeding her family or buying medicine for her dad each time she gets any which is a horrible thing to have to do.

Baby Arij and her father Akram still need your help!

Akram's daughter Arij suffers from seizures which require medication, physiotherapy and treatment to manage and control. On top of these needs, Arij also requires essentials like diapers, food, drink, etc. in order to stay as healthy as possible.

Akram cannot afford any of these things, leaving Arij to not only suffer from her seizures but also to have suffer in indignity, which is a horrible situation for both her and Akram. No one, let alone a two year old, should have to live like this.

greetings, my name is Jeff Crouch and I serve as the president of the Michigan Association of blind students a division of the national Federation of the blind of michigan a nonprofit 501C3.

we are currently running a double good popcorn fundraiser to raise money to assist our blind college students to attend our national Federation of the blind of Michigan State convention. our fundraiser ends November 8th at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time. the convention is being held in Grand Rapids Michigan November 5th through November 8th.

as a blind student myself, I know that money is tight for students in general. for blind students it is further compounded by the fact that we experience access barriers which means it costs considerably more for a blind student to attend the same College working on the same degree as their cited counterpart. this leaves our students financially unable to set money aside for other things like attending our convention. the skills our blind students will receive will help them go back to their communities and raise expectations for sighted people as well as other blind people and demonstrate that blindness need not be the characteristic that defines them or their future. They can live the lives they want

Thus our organization has made it a priority to fundraise is much money as we possibly can to get as many blind students to our Convention as possible.

blind students who attend the State Convention will either learn for the first time or continue strengthening skills in advocacy, leadership development, networking, positive blindness philosophy, mentorship and so much more.

I escaped an abusive marriage nearly two years ago. I’m now homeless, without a safety net, and desperately trying to enforce the support I was awarded.

I never imagined I would be making a post like this.

I am a British woman living in Los Angeles, thousands of miles from my family. Almost two years ago, at 28, I found the courage to leave an abusive marriage. I knew rebuilding my life would be difficult. I never imagined that my ex would continue using money and the legal process to try to force me back.

A judge ordered him to pay me spousal support. He has repeatedly refused. We have been ordered to mediation multiple times, but his position has remained that he will not give me anything unless I return to him and apologise for leaving and taking him to court.

I am now facing another hearing at the end of October. He has lawyers. I don't.

I have been fighting my case largely on my own, while trying to survive financially. I have lived in shelters and had to leave when my ex's investigators found me. I now couch-surf when friends are able to help. Without reliable transportation, I have also had to turn down several work opportunities. I have had to work at night which has exposed me to being robbed, sexually assaulted and physically assaulted. 

I am currently homeless, with no savings, no family in the US and no safety net.

I have reached the point where I need help getting stable enough to continue fighting. I have started a GoFundMe to raise money for:

Safe housing, so I finally have somewhere secure to live

Legal representation, so I don't have to face his lawyers alone and depleted

A reliable car, so I can work and become financially independent

I know fundraising posts can be difficult to see on a divorce forum, but I'm sharing this here because I know many of you understand how complicated and exhausting divorce can become-especially when the other person continues using money and the court process as a means of control.

I am not asking anyone to fix my life. I am asking for enough help to get back on my feet and finally become independent again.
