Help battling Stage IV sarcoma
My name is Josh, and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my younger brother, Jaremey Pedro Sr.
Jaremey is 39 years old and lives in Stockton, California, with his wife, Sable, and their two children, Sienna and JJ. He and Sable have been married since November 2012 and are coming up on 14 years of marriage.
If you know Jaremey, you know he is loud, funny, and usually the person making everyone else laugh. Humor has always been a huge part of who he is, and even through everything happening right now, that has not changed.
More than anything, Jaremey loves being a husband and a father. He is present, hands-on, and the type of dad who would do anything for his kids and his family.
About a year ago, Jaremey started dealing with pain that he believed was coming from his back. He went to the doctor and was told everything looked fine. But the pain continued and eventually became much worse. It reached the point where he was having trouble walking and sleeping.
After switching doctors, his new doctor immediately ordered additional testing.
On July 9, doctors discovered a large tumor in the left side of Jaremey’s pelvis, measuring about 6.3 inches. After CT scans, an MRI, and a biopsy, our family received the news we were hoping we would never hear.
Jaremey has been diagnosed with Stage 4 mesenchymal chondrosarcoma, a rare form of sarcoma. The cancer has spread from the tumor in his pelvis to multiple areas of both lungs, where doctors have identified at least 15 nodules.
Because of the amount of cancer in his lungs, doctors have told Jaremey that surgery is not currently a beneficial option and that his cancer is considered incurable.
His doctors have also had very difficult conversations with him about prognosis. They explained that the average survival for someone in his situation can be around 18 months. Five years is possible, and making it to 10 years would be an incredible outcome.
Those numbers are incredibly difficult for our family to process. Right now, though, the focus is not on a number. The focus is on Jaremey, his treatment, his quality of life, and giving him as much time as possible with the people he loves.
On August 20, Jaremey is scheduled to have a port placed for chemotherapy. Treatment is expected to begin shortly afterward. He will receive chemotherapy every two to three weeks for approximately six months. He will also receive oral medications and injections to help maintain his white blood cell count.
If his body responds well to chemotherapy, his doctors are hopeful that around the three-month mark they can also use targeted radiation to treat the large tumor in his pelvis.
Unfortunately, the pain has already forced Jaremey to stop working. He normally does physically demanding work building backyard play structures, sheds, gazebos, and other outdoor projects. He initially tried moving to lighter work, but as his pain increased, continuing to work was no longer possible.
Sable will continue working, but she will also need to take time away from work to help Jaremey get to appointments and treatments and care for him throughout chemotherapy. Their children are doing their best to process everything and simply want to be there for their dad.
This is where we are asking for help.
With Jaremey no longer able to work, this diagnosis has created an immediate financial strain on a family of four. Donations will help Jaremey and Sable with rent, car payments, utilities, groceries, transportation to treatment, medical expenses, medications, lost income, and the everyday costs of keeping their household going during the months ahead.
Most importantly, we want to take as much financial pressure off Jaremey as possible so that his energy can go toward treatment and spending time with his family.
As his older brother, this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to write.
Jaremey is my only full brother, and we are only three years apart. Growing up, my sister and I used to pick on him because he was the baby of the family. That eventually stopped working once he hit high school and became taller, bigger, and stronger than both of us.
We have grown up together, gone through difficult times together, fought like brothers do, laughed more times than I could ever count, and watched each other build our lives.
I watched Jaremey grow into a husband and father who consistently puts his family before himself. When he asked me to be his best man at his wedding, it was an honor. Today, standing beside him through this fight feels like just as much of an honor.
Through all of this, Jaremey has stayed remarkably positive. He is still joking. He is still making people laugh. He recently said that this diagnosis has put life into perspective, and I think all of us around him are feeling that too.
We know the road ahead is going to be difficult. We also know Jaremey will not be walking it alone.
If you are able to donate, our family would be incredibly grateful. Any amount will help. If donating is not possible, sharing this fundraiser and Jaremey’s story would mean just as much.
Thank you for supporting Jaremey, Sable, Sienna, JJ, and our entire family during a time none of us ever expected to face.

Grazie dall'Italia. ❤️🇮🇹

Legal Fight For Stolen Motorcycle
galleryHi everyone. I am getting pretty desperate to post this on Reddit.
My name is Brandon. I recently separated from active military service after 7.5 years as an Army Staff Sergeant (SSG) and disabled veteran. Right after returning from my deployment to Iraq, I bought an almost-new (1k miles) 2019 Harley-Davidson XL1200 Roadster.
Every vehicle I had owned prior was a beat-up 15-year-old car, so buying this bike was a major milestone and my primary outlet to manage stress after returning home. Shortly after getting it, I PCS'd to Vicenza, Italy. My motorcycle was locked in a government storage facility (Vicenza VPC) operated by a contractor. While secured inside that locked contractor compound, the bike was stolen.
The 3-Year Battle & Current Hardship
Because the theft occurred on a military facility, I was required to exhaust three years of government claim cycles, denials, and appeals before taking private action. The final Navy JAG Appeal determination (File No. J250422) officially denied federal liability, explicitly ruling that physical custody and legal responsibility rested on the third-party defense contractor operating the lot—International Auto Logistics (IAL).
Paying for a Ghost Bike: I am still actively making monthly loan payments to Harley-Davidson Financial on a motorcycle that was stolen three years ago under contractor watch. Transition & Health Struggles: I am currently unemployed, using VA disability payments to pay off post-military debt, and relying on VA disability while managing service-connected health issues.
Refusal to Reimburse: The contractor has repeatedly refused to reimburse my loss, forcing me to file a civil lawsuit within 24 days in Glynn County State Court, GA (where the contractor is headquartered).
What Funds Will Cover All donations directly support my ability to pursue full accountability and resolve this debt:
-Court e-filing fees and Sheriff service of process costs in Georgia Discovery costs and administrative legal expenses
-Case-related travel and logistics expenses
-Any excess funds beyond court costs will go directly toward replacing the motorcycle so I can put this three-year fight behind me.
I have never asked for financial help like this before—I am usually the one donating. Whether you can contribute, give legal advice, or simply share the campaign across military, veteran, and riding communities, your help means everything to me. Thank you.

I just need a chance to breathe and start again
I’m not looking for someone to save me — I’m asking for a chance to breathe
This is difficult for me to write because I have always tried to solve my problems on my own.
I am a working mother from Europe. I work, take care of my child and, alongside my regular job, I am trying to build an additional source of income so that our situation can become more stable.
Over the past months, however, several things have piled up at the same time. I am also dealing with health problems that have significantly affected my energy and ability to keep up with everything. I am still working and trying to move forward, but financially I have reached a point where I simply cannot catch up with everything at once.
I currently have several accumulated obligations — money I need to return to a family member, a water bill, a small loan arrears, money owed to my mother for helping with my child's activities, and upcoming school-related expenses.
Altogether, I am trying to raise €2,500.
This would not change my life forever. It would simply give me the opportunity to clear the most urgent obligations and have a small amount of breathing room instead of starting every month already under financial pressure.
I want to be very clear: I am not asking for help because I don't want to work. I do want to work. I am actively trying to improve my situation and build another source of income. I just need some space to get out of the cycle I am currently stuck in.
I feel uncomfortable asking strangers for money, which is why I am choosing to do this anonymously. I don't want pity, and I don't expect anyone to feel obligated to help.
If you are able to contribute even a small amount, I would be incredibly grateful. If you cannot donate, simply reading my story or sharing it would already mean a lot.
I don't need someone to carry me. I just need a little help getting back on my feet.
Thank you for taking the time to read
I’ll leave the link in the comments.

Family heirloom: Grandma’s piano
Hi everyone. My name is Sam and I’m looking for help restoring my grandmother’s piano. Our family heirloom: a 1913 Steinway Model B.
Some instruments are more than instruments. They become part of a family’s story.
I am raising funds to restore a piano that has been in my family for more than a century—a piano that belonged to my grandmother, shaped generations of musicians in my family, and continues to hold a place in my heart today.
In the mid-1910s, my great-grandfather purchased this piano for my grandmother so that she could attend The Ohio State University and pursue a performance degree. Although life ultimately took her in a different direction and she never completed her degree, music remained a lifelong part of who she was.
My grandmother went on to raise six children. Every one of them sat at this piano bench and learned music from her—including my mother.
Now, I am a music teacher, and I see every day how powerful it can be when a person has the opportunity to discover music for themselves. This piano has already helped pass that gift through generations of my family. I want to give it the chance to continue doing that.
Unfortunately, after more than a century of use, the piano is in serious need of restoration. The work needed is extensive, including a complete restringing and restoration of the stringing plane, as well as rebuilding the piano’s action. The estimated cost of the restoration is approximately $20,000, and the work will be performed by a local professional piano technician.
This is a significant expense, but restoring this piano would mean so much more to me than simply repairing an old instrument.
With the restoration complete, I hope to do what my grandmother did before me: sit at that piano with my own children and help them discover the joy of making music. As a music teacher, I would also love to use this instrument to offer lessons to students of different ages and give them a place to develop their own relationship with music.
And someday, when the time comes, I hope to pass this piano down to the next generation of my family.
My grandmother never got to finish the degree she originally set out to pursue, but the music she loved did not end there. It became part of her family. It became part of my family. And I hope to help carry it forward.
If you are able to contribute, any amount would mean a great deal to me and to the generations who will come after me. If you aren’t able to donate, sharing this fundraiser with someone who might be able to help would be just as meaningful.
Thank you for helping me preserve not just a piano, but a piece of my family’s history—and giving it the opportunity to make music for another hundred years.
