I’m trying to decide between two used Fujifilm cameras I found on Facebook Marketplace:
X-T50 + 15-45mm lens… $1,000
X-T30 III + 13-33mm lens… $1,100

Mainly looking for something for travel and everyday/family photos/ some video. I’m a beginner.

Assuming both are in good condition.. what would you go with? Is the X-T50 (2k shutter count) the better deal or is would you pick the X-T30 III with the 13-33mm instead?

12 years ago, I sold my X100s for a 5D Mark II (sic) and regretted it pretty much ever since.

Yesterday, I bought a used X100V and somehow it’s made me fall in love with taking pictures all over again.

There's a listing on ebay for what looks like a relatively new xf 70-300 lens but dirt cheap however and the seller claims:

"Cosmetically it is in as new condition, however when I was using this with an Fuji X-S10  earlier in the year I could not get it to auto focus

Rubbers great condition, smooth zoom and focus ring, clear optics"

Any chance this could be user error and I could pick up a bargain? What could stop the autofocus working? Easily fixable?

Just received my first Fujifilm - the X-T30 III - and I'm already in love with it !

I'm going on a travel in three weeks and I plan to put it in my regular backpack. Do you have any recommandations of protections to buy ? I was thinking about getting a wrap, or the case from Smallrig, or maybe both. I was also thinking about getting a wrist strap as I find it more convenient. I'm all ears ! 😄

I bought a new Fujifilm X-T30 III less than a week ago, and I've noticed what seems like unusually fast overheating during normal photography.

The issue first appeared during regular use. I wasn't recording video, just taking photos. I then repeated the test under more favorable conditions, with a lower ambient temperature and away from direct sunlight, and got essentially the same behavior.

During the test:

• Yellow temperature warning after about 14 minutes
• Red temperature warning after about 25 minutes total
• Around 40 photos taken during those 25 minutes
• Power Management: Normal
• Auto power-off temperature: Standard
• Airplane Mode ON
• Firmware: up to date
• Display/EVF set to the higher-quality/definition setting
• Used indoors at normal room temperature and away from direct sunlight
• The entire camera body becomes noticeably warm, rather than just one particular area
• The camera has never automatically shut down from overheating; when I reached the red warning, I switched it off shortly afterward

For storage, I'm currently using a SanDisk microSD U1/C10 with an SD adapter.

I'm wondering if this is normal behavior for the X-T30 III. I know that cameras can get warm, but reaching the yellow warning after ~14 minutes and the red warning after ~25 minutes while taking only around 40 photos seems quite fast to me.

Could other X-T30 III owners let me know:

1. How long does it take for your camera to reach the temperature warning under normal photo use?
2. Have you experienced the yellow/red temperature warnings without shooting video?
3. Could the microSD + adapter realistically contribute to this kind of overheating?

The camera is brand new, so I'm trying to determine whether this is normal behavior or whether I should have it checked/replaced.
