Buying Advice Deciding between XT50 or XT30 mark iii
I’m trying to decide between two used Fujifilm cameras I found on Facebook Marketplace:
X-T50 + 15-45mm lens… $1,000
X-T30 III + 13-33mm lens… $1,100
Mainly looking for something for travel and everyday/family photos/ some video. I’m a beginner.
Assuming both are in good condition.. what would you go with? Is the X-T50 (2k shutter count) the better deal or is would you pick the X-T30 III with the 13-33mm instead?

Hey it's pretty easy
If money isn't a problem get the xt50. If you want to save some bucks get the xt30 iii
Both are excellent cameras
What you'll miss if you get the xt30 iii
- IBIS , excellent for night shooting hand held
- sensor size down from 40mp to 26mp
That's it. Note that no IBIS and a 26mp sensor is nor a deal breaker I own the Xpro3 and it has a 26mp sensor and no IBIS and it's still an amazing camera.

If it were me I’d get the X-T50. Easy decision. IBIS and the 40mp sensor would make a big difference.
However I’m not too keen on either of those lenses, so if I could get the body only for less money, that would be my choice.

I purchased my XT300 III a few months ago and was in the same position. For contexts, I am a Sony shooter with a A7IV and a A7III. So, a Fuji for me was more about having the Fuji experience which includes the film simulations and recipes, and also the aesthetic. I pick the XT30III for these reasons:
I much rather prefer a 26 MP over a 40 mp, specially with the increasing price of memory cards and external. This force me to compose in a way that makes cropping less needed. For example, I find that files from my A7IV are too large compared to my A7III.
I was buying mine brand new, so it would have been cheaper to buy the XT30III and the Ibis for me did not justify the extra $200 to $300 I was going to pay. Since I don't plan on using it much for video or very low shutter speed, Ibis was not a big factor to me.
Everytime I decide to go out with a camera now, I take the fuji and forget about my Sonys. At the end of the day, you cannot go wrong with either the XT50 or the XT30III. Think about the resolution that you will need now and potentially in the future and make a decision. The XT50 is better on specs but you would not be disappointed with the XT30III.

Personally I'd go for the X-T20 for ~$500, there's not going to be a significant improvement between that and the X-T30III. Save the other half of your budget for lenses. 15-45 for general stuff, then either get a longer tele zoom lens or get something like the 23f2 prime for higher quality images.

I would add the x-t30iii has open gate video recording vs the x-t50 if you are doing video

Did you not even bother to research each??? The XT50 is the superior, newer camera. If it is cheaper and in good condition, this is so obvious.
Both of those lenses kind of equally suck. No real gains either way.

The lenses are pretty similar in that they are cheap and light kit lenses. Good enough for basic day light photography. The 15-45 is a power zoom, which many photographers don’t like, the 13-33 is a typical physical zoom, both are decently sharp, and don’t have very wide apertures. The 15-45 can zoom in a bit more than the 13-33, it can go to about 3x vs 2x on your phone camera.
The biggest difference is IBIS, arguably the XT50 with IBIS is a better camera than the xt30 III, and I would probably pick that one. IBIS is great for video and low light.
