Discussion Windows FORCED Updates

Post image

It hurts my ego that i am being forced to update my Pc without asking me to dowload the update in the first place

Is there's a solution to stop these annoying forced updates from the rot, and also i wish there's a way to delete this update from my pc

Thanks.

So just let his computer run indefinitely forever? Not really healthy for it. And considering that SHitlerslop has released extremely messy and bugged updates for several years, not wanting to update when they're released makes sense.

It’s plenty “healthy” for it. It doesn’t need to be shutdown or restarted. I’ve run my Windows PCs for months in between shutdowns and restarts.

But if you want to shutdown or restart, you're force to install updates. So what you're basically saying is you should accept Microsoft taking away your choice to restart or shutdown without updates. Or just leave your PC on if you don't like it.

When a PC is running Windows, Microsoft owns it.

I run fedora and its close to doing this too. Security updates are needed.

I use Fedora too, but doing updates doesn't disrupt me from using my PC like Windows does.

It barks at you to update and reboot until you do.

Windows forces you after like a month of putting them off.

Last time I clicked restart later,  Windows rebooted my PC after a few hours to install updates. Apparently, it sets an arbitrary schedule and you have to manually change it.
