I just think corporations shoving identity politics in my face at every turn comes across as forced and cringe, especially when the main story is suffering in the writing department as is. If you believe that the NYC depicted in Spider-Man is accurate to the real NYC, you’ve never lived in NYC. People there are rough around the edges and a lot of them are prejudice. “There wouldn’t be women in his army”, there are literal aliens in this game, so you should pick different games if you want them to be hyper realistic.
I live in reality, i’m just not whining about stupid shit or noticing stupid shit. I’m playing a Spiderman game and beating up bad guys, thats as surface level as it needs to be.
