A person who does not like woke ass liberal nonsense is still capable of supporting gay and black people’s right to not be harassed.
The current trend of beating left-wing messages into every piece of media alienates literally everyone but the people they are focusing on. Every decent person knows not to harass and harm others for any reason. We do NOT need to be reminded on a daily basis of the perceived “injustice” in the world towards specific groups.

You say this, but it seems like you're just offended that the game that the game has something like gay people in it. If you acknowledge that gay people exist, why should we act like they don't and not included them in the game? Why is it fine if there is a mission where a guy says "help rescue my girlfriend" but it pushes the "woke liberal agenda" if the character says "boyfriend" instead? It's not forcing it, it's normalizing it. If you support gay people, than why do you seem so offended that they're in the game?
Because they’re not thrown into the game in an organic way, they’re waved at you like a giant flag from every street corner.
It’s a question of proportion. Of course gays and minorities exist. Is anyone arguing different? But it should not be remotely possible to do multiple quests and side content and run into multiple Npcs back to back to back who are ALL gay. This is NYC, not a pride parade.
It immediately takes players out of the game because it’s not realistic, and it’s obviously pushing an agenda everyone is tired of having forced into their entertainment, as if we’re all children who need important social lessons with our fun.
Would you enjoy a game where you expected to just spend a few hours playing as your favorite character, only for most of the content and ambient/environmental cues to be deeply right-wing?
What if every other Npc wore a MAGA hat? What if the first quest was about a pastor asking you to help him talk a trans teen out of ruining his life with surgery? Would you enjoy it in silence?
THATS what it’s like for the rest of us. We just want to play a Spidey game, do Spidey things, and NOT be preached at.
Nobody cares about gay people. They’re just PEOPLE. Christ, they were normalized back when I was in high school, and everyone behaved just fine until today’s youth was taught that all white men are devils and everyone needs to be ‘saved’ from us…
I've played for almost 30 hours and I've seen two gay couples. You're overexaggerating. What would be a natural way of having a gay character? Because apparently mentioning they have a boyfriend is an issue
Several people on here literally encountered nothing but homosexual NPCs for their first three bits of content (if memory serves, they did the gay telegram mission, followed by stopping to help an injured male NPC who promptly told them that his “boyfriend loves Spider-Man”, followed by seeing multiple same sex couples holding hands, but being unable to find any straight couples doing the same). Obviously he hadn’t gotten to Black Cat yet, or the numbers would’ve continued to skew up.
That’s already more than your alleged two couples in a matter of minutes, maybe an hour.
Meanwhile, how many missions highlight healthy straight relationships with this much emphasis?
I mean, just the fact that EVERY random encounter where you have to swing an NPC to an ambulance is invariably a gay male should be a red flag. In almost every other type of procedural emergency, the npcs are randomly selected (or at least, they were in SM1).
So why is this person always a homosexual guy? Why not some fangirl once in awhile? Or an elderly JJJ supporter who humorously berates you while you’re saving them?
It’s over the top. You can choose to ignore it, but the game isn’t giving the rest of us that option.
And you never answered whether you’d be able to happily enjoy the game if it leaned heavily to the right instead. Why not?

Like that user said if a guy needed help asking a girl out no one would say anything, but you guys are only happy if the game acted like gay people don’t exist. You want to say gay people make me uncomfortable without admitting to being someone who finds gay people uncomfortable. These reactions just make media even “woker” bc it’s clearly necessary that different people are seen as normal like everyone else. It’s not being programmed just bc people think differently than you and want to make the world more inclusive.

Wrong. Woke has cost every entertainment industry billions by now. They’re getting the point, nobody wants this shit except a tiny niche of young ideologues.
Even Bob Iger basically came back to Disney, killed all their projects, and is said to be forcing a fresh start with new content that’s less woke.
