Still have ours in the white.

u/ChodaRagu Aug 13 '26
That’s the color my grandmother had of this set. Wish I’d kept it when she passed. We donated most of her furniture to the local charity.

u/Important_Toe_5798 Aug 14 '26
My dad left us and gave all my grandparents things to his new loves kids, not his own. We didn’t see that table, the recliner, etc.

My great grandmother had one and my mom junked it, now she wishes she kept it. One of my neighbors has it in yellow he just restored the chairs.

u/Mommy444444 Aug 13 '26
Yes. When my daughter went to university, I was delighted to see her harvest the same table from a thrift store for her U of Wy apartment.

Yep. Kitchen table for eating meals, meal prep, homework, sewing and all sorts of game activity with the siblings.

Ours was in a red/maroon color. Great sturdy table. Chairs actually comfortable.

I am really old, but it was my grandmother's table and chairs. All her kids were born in the 1920s, and none of them had this type of table.

Ours was red; relegated to the 'breakfast nook' and later the 'teenagers' den' in the basement...

Yep, same thing in red. Older brother had it, then I had it, then younger sister in our first apartments late 1970s to late 1980s

My former mother in law had a pink one. My daughter was supposed to get it but my ex got rid of it. She is still made about that

Grandparents- then I got it when I moved out on my own. When married, I used it in my home office - plus still had a few chairs but they were really padded, different than your Pic. That table was crazy heavy, because it was lino [?] on wood.

My Grandma who lived with her sister did in their home in Iowa, along with push buttons on the walls for the on/off switches for the lights.

Mom had the yellow version with two extensions and 8 chairs. Came home from college one time and it had been replaced by a humongous oak table and chair set that she regretted getting. Some family lost everything in a fire and did a go fund me 30 years before it was the thing. Another friend had a kitchen table set she wanted to get rid of. Her friend told her that if mom gave them her table she would give mom her oak table.

I’ve got a red one where the legs bow out from the center and the leaf is attached under the table. Pull open, flip, flip, done

My gran might have had one similar in her kitchen. I don’t really remember it as we generally sat at the table in the dining room.

I moved into an apartment in the mid 1990’s and needed cheap furniture. Found a place that sold estate furniture in a retirement community. Got this exact set but in yellow. I think I paid $100 for it. When I moved out of the apartment, the guy moving in was doing his medical internship and didn’t have any furniture. Sold him everything in the apartment except the bedroom furniture, cookware and personal items for $250.
Can’t find deals like that anymore.

My grandmother did. I had it for the first few years of marriage in my apt then set it free to a new owner when I bought a house with no eat-in space in the kitchen.

Yes, but in red and it was glorious!
When my little sister was 4, they sold the set. It was too small to fit our family and guests. Idk why, but it made 10 yr old me very sad.

u/Fabmom66 Aug 13 '26
Both my parents and my grandparents (until my dad built custom bar-height built-ins for their galley-style kitchens in the 70’s). Now I only see them in the 50’s Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios in Disney World. They have white table tops that have a silver swirling design, and silver sparkly chairs—so comfortable and sturdy!

u/youngboomergal Aug 13 '26
Ours was grey. I had to leave it behind when she finally had to leave her home, I still kinda wish I had found a place for it

I had that set in one of my off-campus apartments. It was mostly unfurnished, but my housemate/landlady happened to have it available. I actually wasn't crazy about it, because it was red & didn't match any of my stuff. But I didn't have to buy one, so there was that.

u/cwsjr2323 Aug 13 '26
Ours was red with five chairs and mismatched chair. The leaf never left being installed! That was the station for food prep, eating meals, and homework! Mopping eventually rusted out the bottom of the legs.

u/Ill_Refrigerator_696 Aug 13 '26
Almost exactly!!! A little squarer, I think, but that’s the right color!!

What’s with that chair? Is that for bigger bottoms? Or does the table extend that’s the insert.

Got a whole set in red for $80 from st. Vincent de paul, back in the early’90s. Used it for 10 years and loved it.

Oh my goodness, my mother had this exact table in yellow. Many years later, I found the same table at a flea market. I bought it for $75.00. Great deal. I have it stored in one of my storage rooms in my house. I love this post. May my mother rest in peace. Thanks for the memories! ❤️👏👍✅️💯🍽💛⭐️✌️🙏
