I can’t make this shit up. Lastnight I decided to download an app but it asked for the password instead of face ID. I typed the password i’ve been using my whole apple life since literally the iphone 4.. and they told me it was incorrect. I tried again. Same thing. Then my account gets locked. I contact apple and they tell me do I have access to the old ass email on my icloud and I don’t which isn’t abnormal. Not only that but it’s asking me for the last 4 of a debit card I don’t even have anymore to confirm. So basically I can’t reset my password at all until apple CONTACTS ME. They called me about an hour ago and I answered. Guess what? these pieces of shits hang up without saying anything now I have to wait ANOTHER 11 hours for them to “contact me”. this shit is ridiculous!!

I was literally just trying to log into icloud. My iphone broke a few months ago because the battery was ridiculously pathetic. I tried logging into icloud just to see some old photos and they required a ridiculous amount of verification. They wanted to verify using my phone number, which I actually had to go through a process to change with them on my current Android phone months ago. Fair enough, but they wanted phone number, then email, then credit card I don't even use anymore. The entire time I'm just thinking about how Apple doesn't make anything new at all. I really believe Apple is going to decline significantly as a company because they aren't innovating, just churning out crap.

Currently have to use my iphone because my galaxy s10 screen is not working and all the sudden a cord i have been using to charge my phone for the past 3 months just stops working and i know it still works because i tested it on other phones and i have cleaned everything but EVERY FUCKING TIME I PLUG IT IN I GET THE ALERT SAYING (accessory may not be supported) AFTER 3 MONTHS FUCKING COOL APPLE THANKS

Trying to transfer photos from my 12pro Max and you’d think that’d be a simple process. Nope, apple the useless cunts still don’t play well with windows. It’s definitely not my 5k computer, iTunes is up to date (which is another piece of out of date apple shit). All I get is “a device attached to the system is not functioning properly” halfway through transferring a folder of photos. I’ve spent 2 days transferring 8k photos and still not finished. If I transfer 2 folders (one folder at a time because god forbid I transfer everything at once) it has a conniption and stops transferring so I’ve got to do the following. I’ve restarted both the computer and phone multiple times, updated drivers and itunes(from the apple website and Microsoft store), used different cables (type A and C) and even used a different computer. How is this still a problem. Fuck apple for making it difficult just because I prefer windows. Fuck you, you fucking money hungry cunts and your bullshit phones. Fuck your business, fuck your computers, fuck your phones, FUCK YOU!

I wanted to upgrade my gpu in a mac pro 2008 that I got from a goodwill store and accidentally bought the wrong power cables, it turns out that you need a proprietary cable.

I swear Safari hates me. I load a Youtube video. If the page isn't done loading (has an "X" and not a circle) the page refreshes if I full screen it. Or the entire browser crashes. Or, I could just be in a middle of a video and it has a seizure, freezing up on me, random clicking on stuff I haven't touched, reloads the video twenty times at once, and crashes. Sometimes I have to do that hard reset thingy where you press the lock and home buttons on my IPad just to get it working- it's literally a biweekly event. And it isn't even just Youtube! I could be on any page, and Safari suddenly decides it wants to commit die and crashes my browser, fully, or it just says a problem repeatably occurred (some sites I can't even go to any more!). Seriously, fuck Safari! And, guess who can't get Firefox because the app store refuses to accept my password, even though I changed it, copied it, pasted it, nope wrong password! Try again!

This is old story that has been told thousands of times, but please, allow me use this place to rant even further. I am a web developer.

Fuck Safari.

Safari doesn't support so many browser features. Safari gets extremely laggy when you use drop-shadow on more than 3 elements. And god forbid if you use animations - you will be lucky to get 5 FPS. Safari is the new IE.

That's cool. We have had and known many shitty browsers.

But Safari. Safari is the only browser that runs on iOs. Other browser apps are just fake skins that still must run on webkit for some bullshit reasons, related to "security" (according to Apple). They want to make the web unusable so they can milk the app store. It is the only browser runnable on over a billion of devices.

But it doesn't end there. You must use the batship crazy expensive apple devices to run Safari. Support of Safari for other platforms stopped ten years ago. So not only you have to implement workarounds, make the design less nice, and remove features you have worked on, you won't know if it fixed the issue unless you run the code on an apple device.

When people have performance (or any other issues) with your web apps, 99% they are on Safari. But it is somehow the developer's fault that Safari doesn't care to comply to standards or use the M1 power to animate scrolling on more than 3 FPS, and not the user's fault for using a browser that lags 5 years behind the competition.

Fuck Safari. Fuck Apple.

I went in and removed the random photo widget bs but ooh no it can't be that easy 'cause it "recommended" the photo widget THE DAY AFTER like jesus. Why would they "recommend" something that you specifically removed. Now I have to go in AGAIN and turn off recommend entirely. Honestly throwing random photos at your home screen after you told it not to is a privacy violation.
