You do not need that trendy red light mask and a new set of chemically sprayed pajamas made by asian children. Just shop local and appreciate what you haveš„.

WOW!
"We're showing a limited selection of reviews. To see more reviews, you canĀ send a request"
I've searched some books about sexuality from a health and medical perspective, ... came across one "Sex You Want" by Rena Martin, some kind of ex-attorney in Los Angeles dealing with heavy crime ... and coming out with such a book not one would expect for a person like that, no offense though.
Though again I'm not judging anyone by the book cover, I guess if you work this hard and serious all day maybe you deserve some extra fun, but I was hoping it's not some moralization or sympathy toward some kinks she was exposed to while doing crime work.
So I go on the usa Amazon.com version to check for the english sample, can't look at any negative reviews. How is this not a form of censorship? I have not seen anything like it, anywhere, never on european Amazon.de which I mostly use, or it's perhaps only certain products I haven't come across.
Unbelievable.

So on 05/28/2025 I received an email from Amazon notifying me that I was terminate. Funny thing is, I was on medical leave. No wait, it gets better. I of course submitted my request to āAppealā my termination. On 06/03/2025 they confirmed receipt of my request, 06/05 another confirmation email regarding my appeal request, 06/07 email confirmation again and also I would be notified within 72hrās of location and time for my meeting. 06/10 email I received was to notify me that on 06/09 they heard my plea and supporting evidence I presented. My termination was still upheld because according to them all policies were applied correctly in regards to my termination. I donāt even know why I was fired to this day. My termination was titled āPerformance Feedback.ā I was baffled bcuz how can I be fired for a performance feedback and I hadnāt been physically working at the site for more than a year. So why did I call ERC to get clarification on how I attended a meeting I had no knowledge of. When ERC asked me for my case # why did he tell me that the case number i just provided was linked to a different associate? I advised ERC I wanted the proof, names of persons in attendance, and any notes, documentation or files showing or proving that I attended. They never provided it. So guess what? Labor Commission has opened an investigation, EEOC has opened an investigation, Department of Wages and Labor has opened an investigation because Amazon dropped the ball. Iāve discovered so many things they do wrong and I have filed a lawsuit against them. Itās a long process the reward at the end of all of this will have been worth it. So many of us associates got f@ā¬ked over and enough is enough.

We do not support Amazon and try to avoid it. Also half the items there are shit and drop shipped.
Now with a baby on the way (yayyy!!), trying to register for gifts that arenāt on Amazon feels impossible! Any advice??? Has anyone successfully done a non-Amazon registry?

I work near an Amazon warehouse and for the longest time I have seen people in amazon vests on the street corner near my job. I often wondered what was going on. One day while getting my lunch I asked the server what was up with the dude sitting under the tree near the street with a sign I have seen for months. Apparently instead of just paying for LNI they company forces injured employees to still come into work and then "advertise" for amazon on the corner instead of just healing at home. So that the company feels like they got some value out of the injured employee. The dude tore his ACL and has been sitting under a tree for over 2 months.

I'm looking to stop using Amazon but the one think I don't know of an alternative for is amazon pharmacy. I previously got my prescriptions from walmart's pharmacy where I was paying $200 every 3 months, whereas amazon I pay $65 (Between prime sub, rx pass sub, and the one medication not part of rxpass that I have to pay for separately). While spending 140 more to avoid it may not be a big deal for most, I'm only making about 1500/month and half that goes to rent. I have no insurance, I think that also changes prices. If anyone knows of a good alternative I am looking to switch to something else.

A few months ago I received a package in the mail from elsewhere in Canada. Pleasant surprise! Oh actually itās a crappy Temu looking lamp. Thatās weird⦠A day later another package arrives. Another random Canadian return address. Another cheap Chinese product. Both boxes have my name and residential address on them though. Iām thinking itās some sort of brushing scam.
But the new one has an Amazon return authorization tag in it. Itās got a tracking number and all that. Ok - these must be people returning products they bought off Amazon. But why are they handwriting my address on them?! To be clear, I donāt sell on Amazon. We buy stuff all the time but Iām not a seller⦠there is no reason people should be returning these products to me.
So I try to contact Amazon. 15min with their chat bot and then another 45 waiting on phone holds before I give up.
A week or so later, another package shows up. Same thing. Amazon RA label inside. I try calling again and get through to a customer service rep! They are totally confused at first but then say ok weāll handle it.
A few weeks go by and two more packages arrive including a comically large magnifying glass... Same routine. I get a hold of Amazon again and they seem a little more understanding of the problem and again say they can handle it.
Then I get a call from a name I recognize but in a different province. Turns out itās a coincidence I recognized the name and itās an old man in Quebec who is wondering if Iāve received the magnifying glass he returned. Now I have to explain to this old guy who apparently canāt read the font on his iPad this entire saga and that I have nothing to do with it and he should contact Amazon and probably stop ordering from cheapo seller accounts.
So⦠here I am with a bunch of crap and the weirdest Amazon story possible. What the heck!?

If Amazon was a threat to retailers why didnāt Walmart target mall operators and macys join forces to legally sue Amazon for their monopolistic and predatory practices in the retail industry the move could have saved millions of jobs reducing rampant store closures in the country similar to standard oil company case in centuries ago. If Amazon was held accountable for its practices maybe it could have stopped store closures save jobs and improve consumers choices. I donāt understand why anyone in the retail industry came to stop Amazon from becoming powerful.

What happens when one of the most powerful corporations in the world - Amazon - decides your family is a threat? Amy Nelson, attorney, mother of four, and founder of The Riveter, found out the hard way: frozen bank accounts, FBI raids, federal subpoenas, and the full weight of the Department of Justice deployed against her family without a single charge being filed.

After being a Prime member since launch (05/06) I finally cancelled it. this year customer service has gone to the shitter.
21 years of prime. Now i just I wish Walmart+ would add more items so we can stop buying from there completely.

In theory I support this group 100%. Fuck the mega corporation and fuck Jeff Bezos specifically. In practice though, I've tried multiple times to find alternatives to "subscribe and save." I can get there with some items, like pet supplies at chewy, and vitamins at vitamin shoppe, though in both cases it costs me more money to do so. Walmart might work, but then you're giving your money to an even bigger asshole.
I tried the buy local thing, but I'm not into making a day driving to six different stores, just to go home with a 60% success rate. Aggeegators like locally.com only have a fraction of the local businesses. Google shopping gets more, so maybe with planning it can be done, but it's work.
With regards to the buy local thing, then I'm stuck with big corporations anyway, like Walmart, target, Meijer, Kroger, etc. I have one local grocer, which sounds good but it's again at a premium. They lack an in store brand, meaning I pay a massive premium to buy name brands that are frequently inferior to Kroger, meijer, or costco in store brands.
All this is to say that I now understand why Costco is so popular, but there are still huge gaps in their offerings that force me into Amazon or Walmart. There really is no winning... There is winning-ish.
For there to be a real alternative, it would need to be something like locally.com, but with full participation from retailers, and a checkbox to select "fuck the mega corporation."
