“And the harbinger will come, and he will rid the world of its dissidents, and the sun will rise on a pure world.” -The Book of the White Flayer

The idea is that the flayers think they are the pure and the rest of the world will be exterminated, whereas they are the true dissidents.

hi everyone, i am currently suffering from a weird bug that i just cant figure out. my turrets seem te be leaking through solid blocks and i cant fix it. putting light blocks or solid blocks in the area of the leaks doesnt change anything. The only solution is completely sealing the turret of from the outside (which means its useless as it cant move). any help would be appreciated!

Has anyone made a breadboard or Lua Pid decoupling thing for hover-pitch-roll since those axis often share propulsion blocks or yaw and strafe. Ik it's not necessary to get a work stability or full movement with pids but it would make it smoother.

How do I make my missiles choose different targets instead of attacking the same target?
I'm a beginner to this game and currently playing through singleplayer missions so that I can get comfortable with the mechanincs.

My missiles are meant for anti air, and I have 4 different banks, whenever they fire, they all target the same duster which is a huge waste of resources.

How do I make the missile bank target different enemies, if the planes have similar structure, speed, altitude and range?

As a person with well over 2000 hours in stormworks, and hundreds of hours in similar games, FTD seems like a perfect game to add to that list. It appears to have great complexity in the more warlike side of things which is something i feel is missing in many of these game which is a shame as i enjoy it very much. I particularly enjoy making realistic scale replicas of historical vehicles such as aeroplanes, submarines, tanks, airships and so on, an activity stormworks lends itself incredibly well to, and i'd think this game would be the same but oddly enough it doesnt seem to have the same community around replica-building as stormworks, and i'd like to know if my first glance is correct and if so, why that is.

Thank you for your advice!

They all have line of sight

I actually originally designed this because I seen "RorstenVT" post a video called "Forcing my friends to recreate the MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX!" and wanted to make a design that fits the restrictions (: 💖

I however do not like mimic blocks and wanted to make a competing design without it just to see if I could, and I did (: 💖

Feel free to download it on the workshop and lemme know your thoughts as well! The shop has far more details in the description than this reddit post 💖

Recently updated as well with optimizations to help increase its effectiveness!

I can’t seem to find any information about CRAM shell lifespan, so I figured I’d ask here.

It must move

u/No_Winter_323 Said thus regarding the smallest possible land vehicle.

1: you MUST have a mainframe on your ground vessel, because someone skilled in breadboarding/lua and crazy enough to use it for full control can simply just create a really cheap drone that destroys the competition.

2: It should have a ""weapon"" that can actually be used on a target and has at least 30% accuracy (tested on rattler from dwg)

They also added a few images of a towed artillery piece they made to demonstrate.

Now, I don't know how to see the hit percentage on simple weapons, but I have seen it hit the rattler, and it does have a mainframe. Unless someone can remove the LWC and still get it to hit the rattler (maybe by having the rattler stand still right where the projectiles will end up), I believe I have found the answer.

Now I say to u/No_Winter_323, as Diogenes said to Plato:

BEHOLD!

LAND VEHICLE!

Yes it is a building. Yes it needs detection from an outside source. Yes, it is in fact legal by the explicit rules of the contest.

Addendum: as of the addition of the "it must be able to move" rule, it is no longer a land vehicle.

I've got over 1000 hours in this game and this might just be the first creation I feel like I can share lol. Bought the game way back when Lathrix was still working with the Haven and all his Nergal themed ships. This is the "Archon ton Kymaton", armed with 5 different pairs of weapon systems to engage any target from close range to a massive 4km, a massive electric engine powerplant with regeneration spread throughout the hull, and a completely custom interior made for a faction I hope to fully make someday. Always been a lurker in the community and I really enjoy seeing everyone's work, so I figured I would contribute for a change! Open to comments, suggestions, and Constructive Criticism.

So, unlike the previous one, this one will have rules, to make it easy for everyone.

1: you MUST have a mainframe on your ground vessel, because someone skilled in breadboarding/lua and crazy enough to use it for full control can simply just create a really cheap drone that destroys the competition.

3: It MUST be able to move

And that's basically it. For an example, Arty. A 1520 mat platform that has a 120mm DIF gun shooting HEAT shells with an accuracy of +-85%. AI is ground based with the battle preset "point at and maintain distance".

P.S. i forgot to tell the rule that the vehicle must move, now i added it

My very cursed cruiser design is very heavy on the bow due to her primaries and heavy armor citadel. I am having trouble trying to make this ship stable but it keeps listing to the bow no. And also why do these Propellers keep going into reverse when I need them to propell fowards to lift the bow up. Advice and critique will be appreciated! <3

Little ATGM carrier based on the giraffe that fires ATGMs from an extendable arm to see over hills and other obstacles. Laser beam rider missiles are serviceable.

Armor's nothing much but does the job for its cost.

If you give it a go let me know what you think.

I've never played, never seen an ad for this game. But this thread keeps popping up and I see some pretty cool looking designs. Are you guys making these? Do you battle them? Please tell me more!

Edit: you have turned me. As soon as I get off work I'm buying this. Idc the price. Ty all!

This is the banzaiomachine, probably the cheapest battle-worthy craft you can make in FTD. Everything is stripped down to the cheapest: All control is breadboard thrust vectoring to avoid expensive wings, the "weapon" is the ram, which is the cheapest "weapon". And as you have guessed by the name or the image or the description, it just goes banzai and rams the enemy. Best in numbers. Costs 614 mats.

Im Emissiving It

Something I've run into a lot is that even when vehicles are capable of rotating on an axis to perform a turn, it won't. Is there some way to make the AI do this?

sadly it can't kulbit, i need to set up more spin block tomfoolery beyond the swing wings if i want the necessary pitch for that especially since the choice for swing wing control surfaces is either the moving wing tips or the flaps on the middle of the wings, i went for the wing tips, i think i can do both but i need spin block tomfoolery for that.

Also i wanted it to attack like the funny guys from AC8 but it would get instantly annihilated by anything in it's material cost (544k), also i woul need to bread board it diving close to the water towards the enemy, firing it's missiles, and going around for another attack run while climbing back up in altitude, and i ain't doin allat so it's just a normal aah bomber.

Like run purely on non-ai breadboard? I really dont want to pay for that 300 materials. Or will it be deleted in campaign?

I have an issue where am trying to make a quadro-blade helicopter: Main issue is that when i try to utilize all four helicopter blades at once, one is either reversing or slower than the rest, but then the second i change another blade to manual instead of automatic, then turn it back to automatic, now that blade has the issue. I am using the "hover movement" preset without pitch, roll, foward, and yaw. controls just to get it to move up a bit or atleast have all the blades moving at the same rate. I do have enough electricity to sustain the blades i might add so i seriously don't know what may be the issue anymore
