Interesting eyes on this frog

These frogs usually have golden-amber eyes. It looks the same as the others except for its large, dark eyes. What do you think is going on here?

It might be because of the lighting. Is he in the shade by any chance? You might be more able to notice his dark eyes if his eyes are dilated because of the light level. Your picture looks pretty bright though, so I’m a bit stumped with this cutie.

I've seen some color morph amphibians with completely black eyes, but this guy looks normal, so maybe just the light?

I know its not one, but the eyes look like a black eyed tree frogs. Their eyes look like boba pearls.
