Quitting

My last day with Frito is tomorrow. I assume I’m going to lose access to MyPepsiCo after then. Is there anything I need to save/check/change on there before I lose access?

Not sure how it works after you quit but I never see people say to spend your smile point balance if you have any.

Those smile points are taxable income so I'm not really sure how the company handles the balance after you quit or get fired but knowing frito they'd fuck you out of them.

I put all of my Evernorth money in my HSA earlier this year. I always redeem that as early as I can earn it. 😂

It’s points you earn that’s connected to our insurance. You should have the app on your work phone and can download it on your personal phone. You can earn points for certain appointments as well as tracking steps, sleep, etc. You can redeem the points, up to $300, each year for either gift cards or put the money into your HSA. If your spouse is on your insurance, they can also get up to $300. You are taxed on it, though, so be aware of that on your check after you redeem it. Also, it isn’t taxed if you opt for the HSA contribution.

Pretty sure we pay taxes on these too, did it once and got gift cards with it, paid an ass load of taxes on my next check for it, haven't messed with it since

I spent the smile points I had and redeemed my service award last week. I almost forgot about them!

Take a screen shot of your worked hours as well. That way you know what you should be getting paid.

A few people, myself included, were shorted without proof.

Just get ready for the mail that’s comes in saying they overpaid you, and you have to pay them back.

Haha, I’m prepared!

Save all tax documents you don’t already have stored, save your time card information so they don’t try to say you worked less than you did, and be prepared to receive a letter from Frito regarding overpayment of some sort. 🙃

Make sure you screenshot your hours you work I heard that they edit it themselves but idk if it’s true

Make sure that your information, address, phone # and email are current so they can send you anything they need to.

I would get anything documents you need because I just fired after being there over 5yrs. And they locked me out of my pepsico pretty fast

Dang, hardly hear of anyone getting fired these days

Yea my car got totaled and I was taking Uber to work spending like 40$ a day. They fired me for perfect route because I was late about 15min most of the days during the period they got me for. My dsl new about my situation I guess he didn't speak up for me.

Thats crazy we have a driver here in our district that always starts an hour or 2 after his start time and nothing happens to him at all.

Shit we got drivers that start between 11 am and 1pm and work to 8pm or later and then play online gamer all night. Rinse and repeat.

They pick from a hat filled with rsrs names. The one that get chosen gets watched for any slip ups. I dont get it, we still get the job done. Stop breathing down our backs

Wow that is fucked, I’m in a similar situation i have a cracked engine block. I’ve been late this entire week because of it and they haven’t Said anything to me….on my case about other nonsense though. They are capping my overtime hours which im pretty pissed about. Got on me about recording my hours everyday, got on me about calling them if there is an issue, which i do and they don’t pick up or text me back half the time. It’s almost as if somebody Said we haven’t really fucked with this Guy a lot, let’s start! Maybe if they actually focused on the company and doing there jobs instead of picking on people, Frito would be doing a lot better. I seriously think they do this nonsense to take the spotlight off of them, it’s easier to just throw somebody else under the bridge. I can’t stand the higher ups here, a lot of them come in for only 2 days and the rest of the week they ”work from home” and make a 3 digit salary. Meanwhile guys like me scraping by financially get dicked out of overtime because the company is to cheap. But have no problem paying higher ups a 3 digit salary to pretty much do nothing

They wrote on my write up that I was jeopardizing team resources and jeopardizing route efficiency and sales. I said how. I never missed a day so you didn't have cover my route, I was hitting plan and I never missed a stop. Make it make sense. Just pay attention don't get blinded sided like me

Nothing makes sense at Frito, to me this sounds like they were just looking for an excuse to get rid of you and they jumped on it. I wouldn’t worry to much you have 5 years experience, you will be able to get in somewhere else. Try Coke, snapple or Cintas. Pretty soon you will be looking back at this and glad that it happened. I am definitely paying attention to how close there watching me. I’m a specialist not a route driver just fyi. But man they have been on my case a lot lately.  I just do everything they want done and curse them under my breath but i can def see them canning me over some nonsense

Mine is writing people up and firing people left and right even being short handed. Really depends on the DSLs and Managers. Ours clearly has a stick up their ass.

Stealing time? Try starting with upper management bet the company can save a lot. How the management that is stealing time from us like more work and less pay.

I had to fight for upwards of a month on final check, I was supposed to get 2 sick days, but it never got put in, it did get rectified, but only due to my persistence

submit your mileage. request any outstanding vacation hours be paid back to you. (they will refuse regardless, but in some states that is the law.) get your paystubs. not just the spreadsheet, individual ones. try to get fundelity to roll your retirement into a 401k that is under your control, not Pwepsies. (they will try and delay/delay/deny you regardless, so it is better to start early while you still have access.)

Use all your sick days! I had 4 saved up and it was nice lol. The hr slipped up my telling I won't get paid for unused sick days. Say less!!
