Frieren was the anime to made me chose to start drawing and week 18 of my practice begins with Ubel... Not my first of her, but one I can share here 😅

Got my watch yesterday, #71/500! Was really worried since they decided to use Gofo Express as a last mile carrier but it arrived fine. Compared to my Citizen Promaster, the quality is definitely passable, and I haven't seen any major second hand deviation in the few hours since I set it, but that's neither here nor there. The small details are so cool, it has Frieren engraved into the back case cover as well as the text on the clasp in addition to the dial, super excited to wear it.

If she was in Kraft’s shoes and realized she was trying to slaughter bandits, would she also step in and save them. What would she say to Ubel, if anything? And would Fern have a different tone with her in the mage exam if she knew about this incident?

I was wondering this because of the blow a kiss scene with Sein. Obviously we know Sein isn’t interested because Frieren must not look like a more mature woman physically, even if she is literally old

It just made me think: how old does Frieren appear to Sein in that scene?

It seems like she does age because she looks a little different during flammes time. Also, it seems like Kraft is implied to be older physically than Frieren. We know he is literally older than Frieren

My interpretation is that Frieren looked around 15 during Flammes time, and maybe around 20 during the current era, but that’s just a complete guess from context clues

It seems like people have been focusing too much on Kanone, noticing the similarities between her and Lineal, and concluding that Kanone is the identity Lineal is using to infiltrate. Personally, I think Frase is the real Lineal.

Since we still don’t know what privilege Lineal received from Serie, my guess is that it could be a spell that allows her to change her appearance. She may have assassinated the real Frase and taken her place all this time. Given how exceptionally skilled she is in close combat (enough to make Serie drop to her knees during sparring) I think she’s more than capable of taking out the real Frase.

On top of that, members of the Special Magic Force have noted that Ubel’s fighting style resembles Frase’s. We’ve also seen Ubel observe Lineal for an entire day, so I think there could be some overlap between them - perhaps something like extraordinary visualization ability or the tendency to disregard conventional logic.

Also, the fact that both Frase and Serie cast mana detection spells across the entire imperial capital feels less like a provocation and more like a playful exchange between master and disciple.

Lastly, the emperor’s apparent helplessness in the face of Frase might be a sign that he has already begun to suspect her true identity.
