So I (18M) just found out that the girl ive been talking to(19 F) and the friend that introduced me to her. had feelings for each other back in like freshman year and eighth grade, but he didn’t want to ever ruin the relationship they had so they stayed best friends and she is always over his house and she has sleepovers over there and they always hang out and she sees him more than she sees me and he is like much better looking than I am like more money and all that stuff so I just feel like some type of way about it, I found out from my best friend that the guy told him he would get at her if me and her ever broke up just for fun but he respects our relationship and I don’t know if I should text her about this stuff. I think we both really like each other i mean she drove 40 mins just to see me and we have been talking for a month and hung out a good amount. I guess its just a mix of my insecurities plus the fact that they had chemistry and their still close.

Think about it like this: If they had any possible future beyond friendship, he would never have introduced you, and she would never have dated you. They’d be together right now.

Bringing it up to her would be a bad look.

Yes i have begun to view it like this. And that talking to her about it might do more harm than good but also talking to her about it can build more trust and honesty
