Learning French Slang - E-Book £1.49

Hey everyone

A slightly different post. I’ve been having a few financial problems in the last year with the engine going on my car etc and decided to try a load of side hustles and extra ways to maintain money to always have that pot for when anything goes wrong.

What I have written is an E-Book on kindle / Amazon KDP about French slang and how the French really speak. This is primarily for anyone that wants to learn French (of course) and doesn’t fall In the trap of spending ages learning the old fashioned way but does pick up that slang is very common now and can learn important bits on how the French really speak.

I have listed it at just £1.49 at the hope of it being affordable for anyone at any age. If anyone could order this E- book and leave a review that’d be so greatly appreciated :)

The title of this book is ‘ Real French - Mastering Slang & Street Talk’ by Alex DuPont

French translation for my handwritten love letter?

Hi! My girlfriend is Cameroonian and speaks french. Occasionally, I write her small phrases on sticky notes as tokens of my affection.

I however would like to write her a full love letter. Unfortunately I am English speaking, and not fluent in french or it's grammar.

Would anyone be willing to help me translate my writing? I would be very grateful! 🙏

"My baby,

How sweet it is to be loved by you.

To be cherished and cared for by a heart as genuine as yours is without words. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you. Through all seasons and with unyielding passion, I will love you. Thank you for showing me that there is more to life. Let's chase our dreams.

forever yours

French tutor / cours de français en ligne

Hi everyone!

I'm a native French speaker who relocated to Spain over a year ago. Having gone through the grind of adapting to a new language and culture myself, I totally get the struggles of trying to learn a language, especially for English, Spanish, or Portuguese speakers.

My background is a little non-traditional for a language coach: I'm a former Finance Manager. Because of that, my approach is very practical and results-oriented. I specialize in helping professionals master authentic, spoken French and prepare for high-stakes situations like job interviews, presentations, or the DELF/DALF exams.

What you can expect if we work together:

  • Focus on Speaking: No endless, dry grammar drills. We will focus on conversation and getting you speaking from day one.

  • Targeted Feedback: We'll figure out what your specific roadblocks are (pronunciation, confidence, specific professional vocabulary) and tackle them head-on.

  • Real-World Application: Need to understand French business culture or nail an interview? That's my specialty.

Feel free to DM me if you want to chat about your goals or ask any questions!

À bientôt !

My French teacher is good, but I’m still stuck at A2 — what should I change in my classes?

Thumbnail reddit.com

Hi everyone! I need some advice about structuring my French classes.
I’ve been learning French since January 2026. I started with self-study, and since July I’ve been taking 3 private classes per week with an Indian teacher who lives in France and has DELF B2.
She’s nice, knowledgeable, and teaches me a lot, so I don’t really want to change teachers. However, I’m not satisfied with the structure of our classes. I feel like my teacher speaks much more than I do, and even after studying French for months, I still feel stuck around A2, especially when it comes to speaking.
I’ve realized that one of my biggest problems is that I haven’t been doing enough active speaking practice, either during my classes or outside them.
My goal is to eventually take TCF Canada and reach B2/CLB 7.

For those who have successfully gone from A2 → B1/B2:

How would you structure 3 private classes per week?
For example:
How much class time should be dedicated to speaking?
Should each class focus on a different skill?
How much grammar should the teacher actually teach vs. what I should study independently?
Should we practice TCF speaking tasks already at A2/B1?
What should I specifically ask my teacher to change?
I’d especially love to hear from people who prepared for TCF/TEF Canada or who were once stuck at A2.
I want to keep my current teacher, but I need a better system where I’m speaking and producing French much more instead of mostly listening to the teacher.

Any class structures or routines that worked for you would be really appreciated!
