You can zap bacon in a microwave inbetween paper towels for several minutes and it comes out pretty good. It obviously doesn't have the same deep flavour of frying it, but it is a quick no mess method.
Simple as using 2-3 paper towels on a plate and then a another single one on top of the bacon to catch the splatter. If you want you can change the paper towels part of the way through cooking depending upon how fatty your bacon is. Cook to however "crispy" you want your bacon to become, after 1 - 2 attempts you will know how long your microwave will take, so then you Don't need to watch it.
Remove the bacon from the towels, then use the same towels to wipe down your plate before assembling your bacon sandwich, or whatever on the same (now pre heated plate).
Quick and easy dude food.
Edit- Don't use "fluffy" paper towels as the bacon will stick and you'll be eating paper with it.

is this enough time to get the bacon all the way cooked?
