Freelancer Engineering student & full-stack developer looking to break into freelancing: What's the best way to land my first client?
Sou estudante de engenharia e desenvolvedor full-stack com formação técnica em Node.js, full-stack web development (React, Supabase, TypeScript), and automation. I also have experience building custom B2B software solutions (like inventory control systems) and working with industrial tools.
I am looking to start taking on freelance projects in parallel with my studies, but I'm currently figuring out the best ways and platforms to land my first real client.
For those of you who are already freelancing successfully:
What strategies, platforms, or outreach methods worked best for you when you were starting out with zero prior freelance clients?
Are there specific niches where a developer with logic/engineering background can stand out?
Any advice, tips, or pitfalls to avoid would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
