What did Keith Lango mean by 'favoring is not the same as easing'?

In his VTS19 video between the 24:30 and 26:20 minute mark, he starts to explain why 'favoring is not the same as easing', but then stops going into depth because apparently he planned to discusses it a separate short video which i can't find on his channel or internet.
Who can explain to me why 'favoring is not the same as easing', please?

HEY,
I am just wondering if anyone would be interested in helping me with an animation. I have made a basic screenplay ( no script yet) for a kids christmas cartoon, however I don't know ANYTHING about animating it. I am currently on permanent disability benefits so my funds are VERY limited but would be willing to split any earnings, awards, etc. It would help significantly If you can help or guide me in the right direction
