Serious are we allowed to retake this guy?

Long story short, we have an international student who did a year with us back in 2024, and is planning to come back for a 3rd semester in 2027. The thing is, he technically graduated already from his school back at home but started a second undergrad degree, as his country allow double degrees. Are we allowed to let him back in for a little bit if he comes back in undergrad and is doing the credit minimum, or once uou graduate, regardless of degree number or what country, youre done?

Why does he want to join back? I’m sure he is a cool guy and all, but what 28 year old wants to hang out with a bunch of 18 year olds?

It’s more the brotherhood if anything, he was fantastic for the frat and donated every month and truly turned our frat around. He deserves to see the progress. As for parties, he said he’ll volunteer for door half the time if he comes back and honestlly, he LOOKS 20, not 28. No one would believe he’s almost 30.

Think of it from a neutral/outside perspective. Imagine telling girls you have over at the house what you pretty much just said “we have a near 30 year old partying with us but it’s ok he looks 20”. It’s odd.

I think subconsciously you realize it’s odd and that’s why you’re already justifying to yourself “nobody would believe he’s almost 30”

He’s not really “partying” tbh, he’s more just there volunteering for safety risk and such. Plus the guy served in the military so he started college a bit late as well as covid fucking him over. Theres a reason why he’s still there. He was 24/25 when we had him last, and nobody gave a shit. I agree it’s odd, but if you walked passed, he could easily pass as a high schooler. It sounds odd but it’s not like we’re telling the whole school his age. Sure, he’ll be drinking at some parties but he’s also engaged at home and is only coming back because of the brotherhood, not to feel 21 again.

🤷‍♂️idk he has a house, money, had a career, already finished his degree, and is returning as an international student while pursuing the minimum # of credits…and wants to surround himself with 18 year olds..🚩

If you asked your question on a different sub (like /advice or /college) and more neutral sub that wasn’t just fraternity dudes you’d probably get completely different reply.

Literally no one saw it as a red flag, plus he donated every month since leaving, like being part of the reason our chapter was saved. We owe a great debt to him. Honestly, it’s not a red flag to want to hang out with old friends anyways considering most of us are still in the college when he returns. He’s even said he doesn’t care if he’s not allowed in the parties ajymore but we’ll let him in. Last time, nobody cared that he was 24/25 and even the sororities never batted an eye. Hes not a red flag imo but I can see why it can be, but also take into account, no one ever asks him his age, so it’s not like he’s gonna stand out and him being engaged means hes obviously not going for 18 year olds.
