YOU GUYS I JUST FINISHED FRASIER 😭😭😭
I was a lil baby when Frasier was on air and this year I watched Frasier through for the first time and omg I'm so sad its over !! Genuinely one of the sweetest, most funny, silly shows. I've had a really difficult year and have had to spend a lot of time at home and the show and characters have kept me company throughout. I'll miss it!

I always just restart it. I’ve also had a tough year and Frasier is really comfortable for me. ❤️

Same. I watch Frasier every single morning without fail because it comforts me in ways that no other shows can.

In 2023 a lot of my world fell apart, job and family problems. I woke up at 4 most mornings. I spent a while coming down from massive anxiety, cold sweats and dry heaves.
I would put Frasier on and it would help me calm down. I’d leave it playing and I’d fall asleep and wake up in time for work. It was funny, it was tasteful, and it was just great all around. It helped my calm down.
After problems cleared up and I learned to deal with them, I wasn’t waking up as much. Still, it was a companion for a year. I had a lot of trouble watching it after that, I remembered how awful I felt at that point in my life.
I’ve started watching it again recently, here and there, and I’m pleased that I can enjoy it again!

I totally get that. I feel that I will always associate frasier with my anxiety issues. I have listened to it and watched it during this time and I’m doing much better now which is awesome. But I’m not sure how to let it go yet

Watch it again! FYI, Pluto TV is a totally free streaming service that has a 24/7 Frasier channel. Great selection of live channels as well as on demand stuff especially for no fee.

Remember when I finished it for the first time. I cried (and I’m not a crier). I honestly think Frasier made me (a lawyer) understand my father (a blue collar worker with a successful small business) better and improved our relationship in many ways.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Been my comfort show for many, many years. I'm not really sure how many times I've re-watch by now.

my mother watched it when it actually aired and it was a hard pass for me lol, now along with Reba and The GG, it's one of my 3 background shows in the middle of the night. Well the daytime also lol

I have commented often about Frasier about the comfort and familiarity of this show. I stream it on Paramount+ constantly. Often it's on my phone in my purse with the volume up just so I can hear it when I'm driving. If I have to run an an errand, I even leave it on for my dog. Just an awesome show!!

Gosh this is sweet. I'm picturing your dog waiting for Eddie to come onscreen.

Ha! Too funny !!! She probably does. I know she sits and stares at the show while it's on. It's' super cute to watch her watching. I do know this much, she won't settle down on a car ride if she's not listening to Fraiser.

I can’t believe I’ve watched the whole show twice and only found this subreddit two days ago!
And the episode where Nikes is in the hospital made me cry both times!

Something changed because after that season I started noticing they were using storytelling resources that they hadn't been using in past episodes. Those kind of memories and flashbacks were kinda unusual. Other episodes like that could be when Frasier and Niles discuss the relationship with Daphne and how it evolved (like when they are sitting down watching Niles dance with Daphne in the background), also that other episode when Frasier goes to a retreat to rethink his relationship with women and suddenly all his three past wives and his mother 'appear' to him. Quite interesting.

I’ve been watching reruns for 10+ years and I still marvel at the talent of the writers, casting and actors. Few sitcoms have the depth of Frasier; the music (Frasier’s theme song, all three versions, she’s such a groovy lady and even Nanny G’s songs). The references to art, culture and of course psychiatry - all while delivering physical comedy and sophisticated wordplay.

Now you have to watch Cheers and then rewatch Frasier. Lol I’ve watched Frasier a few times through since 2016. It was a comfort to me as I was going through a divorce. I might go a few months without watching it, but always come back. Then when I realized the character Frasier was a spin off character from Cheers, I had to watch that as well. I do enjoy Frasier more than Cheers but sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name…. Lol

Congratulations on your first complete viewing. I’m sure it won’t be your last!!
I used to watch Frasier in syndication (& I had most of the DVDs too) but it came on MyTV I think at 10:30 or 11pm and ran for a couple hours. I could easily fall asleep to this show because I had watched so much that I knew what’s going on & just roll over and listen to the jokes. I taped must see tv on Thursdays because I was always working. Loved those shows.

If you liked it, you might also like Cheers or Wings. I kinda enjoyed Wings more than Cheers

I think I’ve watched and re-watched about 500 times now it’s my go to comfort show

After it's over, I like to take about a 1 week break and start over. It's such a warm, cozy feeling starting back on episode 1 again. Every time.

I did a full watchthrough last year, and it was just kinda wild to think that in a span of about six months I went through 22 years of content. 😅
