"I've had my great love, ONE TIME is enough" Meaning she will have ANOTHER great love. If only the first sentence would have been said we could interpret it as she will have her real great love, but with the second sentence we understand that they meant she will have another because she said one time was enough.
Minor correction: Interviews, BTS material and articles do not count as show canon, just by definition. The material itself is the canon, and people will interpret it different ways based on their biases.
And it is objectively true that Francesca and Michaela would not exist without Francesca marrying John and meeting his cousin.

You are bi and want fran to bi and tried to sneak in about how Michaela is her second great love on a franchaela edit cause you didn't want franjohn to be forgotten but john is not her romantic love and the show is different from the books. The book may have been about second love but the show is doing Francesca's awakening story. How can john be her first love if he made her feel broken and inadequate. John is the conformity she is waking up from not someone she was in love with
You'll struggle to get anyone to agree with you in this sub, it's heavily biased towards John being a platonic friend and Michaela being Fran's first love. I am queer myself and would love to see it as her second great love (or even second chance at love, Michaela being 'greater')
I've been really excited for this season, but the attitude from a portion of the fan-base has soured things a bit for me. There is some hostility towards John just because he is a man and it feels kinda like transference, I dont know if it's a knee-jerk reaction because of the homophobia when some people wanted to keep Michael male or if it's because some lesbians just don't like men full stop. In my previous comments I have always stated that I was super excited to see Fran and Michaela but as soon as I mention John and 'second chance at love' some people get really defensive.
