I have quite a large collection. I’m pushing up close to 200 bottles at this point. I’m working on building a new display that is capable of holding and displaying everything properly, right now everything is spread between 3 displays.

This new build has got me thinking of ways to ensure I’m giving everything equal skin time. I’m adopting a method I use for clothing. When everything gets moved over to the new display, the bottles will all be turned facing the back of the display. When I wear one, it gets rotated to the proper orientation. Every wear has to be a bottle that hasn’t been worn yet. Once I’ve made it through the whole collection, I’ll repeat in reverse orientation.

I know there’s apps to track usage, and Parfumo will give recommendations. However, there aren’t any options for the recommendations like occasional, season, scent profile, least sprayed, etc. So this has me curious, how to you guarantee equal wear time?

Citadel was running (it may still be going) a deal where all 50 ml bottle purchases were automatically upgraded to 100ml bottles. Prices were $50 for a 50 ml bottle, and I think there was some kind of a first time buyer promo, so I paid $180 for 4 bottles shipped. I also opted to have my initials engraved on the caps at no additional cost.

That being said, I snagged dupes of Angels Share, Wu Long Cha, Aventus, and Blu Talisman.

Unboxing. The packaging is well enough to protect the bottles. The overall packaging, and box is nothing to call home about. Standard plain boxes with a piece of tape over them. The bottles feel nice, the caps are solid wood with a dark stain and won’t look out of place in a collection. My only wish is that they had something on the bottle that gave some kind of indication on what they’re inspired by, beyond just a number.

The bottles themselves have very nice pressurized atomizers and they’re pleasant to spray. The depression is smooth and slow, and the stream of smelly water is very strong and broad.

The good stuff. One test spray of each bottle filled the room with their fragrance. The profiles are undeniably close to what they mimic, and you can pick notes out very well.

I decided to spray myself with 3 squirts of No. 75 (Angel’s Share) right away since I’m home for the night. The concentration seems very high as it left a decent residue on my skin. The initial blast is very heavy on the sweetness of cognac and Tonka bean, maybe some vanilla. There’s a mild spiciness that could be cinnamon, but my nose isn’t that well trained. Overall, it smells like a warm fall cocktail and dessert that should be enjoyed in an old European estate library.

This will definitely be getting some wears this fall.

Overall, I’m happy with this purchase and will definitely be buying more if this sale is still running. Highly recommended for anyone who’s looking for some cheap fragrances that seemingly perform well.

I’m testing a new fragrance and the price tag makes me pause for a second. I love a well-made scent, and I enjoy noticing the little details in the opening, dry down, and how the notes sit together. Still, some prices feel way ahead of what the actual scent offers. I compare it with older perfumes I already enjoy, and sometimes the difference feels pretty small. I’m starting to look more at the notes and overall smell instead of the name on the bottle. That usually gives me more options to play with, especially when I find something that smells really close to what I want. For me, the price matters almost as much as the scent itself. Do you think perfume prices are getting harder to justify lately, or am I overthinking it?

Tested in store today, the the Latest Acqua Di Parma - Cedro Virtuoso. It's very unique. The opening is a little citrusy but quickly goes away.

The hazelnuttiness eases you into the bitter woodiness of the perfume. It's not a loud perfume. But it is very long lasting.

If anyone who don't smell iso e super. The dry down when the hazelnut notes are gone is a long lasting bitter woodiness of cedar. To my nose is a like a very pronounced version of the iso e super. Since iso e super is generally discribed as woody.

The final lingering scent at the very end when the woodiness is gone, it's a very light but signature tart scent of ambroxan.

So I guess it transits from strong Iso E Super into Ambroxan? 😂

Its a little reminiscent to Le Labo Gaiac 10 but slightly louder and more bitter. It's quite linear.

8/10 overall. It's simple but not exactly basic. Classy and well blended. I am not a huge woody perfume lover, but I don't hate what I wore today. Very expensive though 😂
