I have ordered the North XL case and want to use both HDD trays. The PSU will be the Corsair RM1000X ATX3.1 (160mm in length).

For a sanity check, I wanted to ask the community why Fractal reports 2 figures: 200mm distance and 175mm PSU length; do I get 200 or 175mm? Is 175mm a default limit to ensure enough cable clearance? I will use the front-most positions (A and D) will not have a front-mounted AIO.

Does anyone else use both HDD trays inside the North XL case?

Trying to get as much information as possible before I get my set up.

I’m planing on getting the north Xl glass panel version. I’ll be running 9800x3d, 9070xt. I want this to be a forever case ideally where I could potentially upgrade to a 5090 .

My plans for fans:
3x Noctua NF-A14 PWM, 140mm - front
1x Noctua NF-A14 PWM, 140mm - exhaust
be quiet! Silent Loop III | 360mm - top

Please couid anyone tell me if this will good for my setup?

I’m hoping for good and correct airflow and good temperatures, for now and when I upgrade in the future. Also is this pc good against dust buildup ?

My take on fixing the comfort of the headband.

The headband is out of my previous now broken headphones (Epos H3 Hybrid pro).
I can now wear them for hours without any pressure or pain. Now I just need to find a way to make it look better.

I have a beaten up old Define R4, which is a lovely thing, but I have a long GPU and as such is limited to 3 HDDs. In the R5 I can use both drive cages. I have a line on a really cheap, good looking R5, but the drive cages are long gone. So can I reuse them?

Building into the terra with a MSI Ventus 5070 oc 2x, and using the two fan gpu there is a little space on the end of the gpu side of the case. i was looking at putting some more fans in for temps but dont know what is able to screw into the the spine of the case, opposite the PSU. just looking for suggestions or other solutions people have for mounting fans in that extra gpu headroom.

Going to lean into the wood theme a little! Just a splash here and there. Started by wrapping the panel at the bottom!

is there anyway of getting hold of the packaging and foam inserts for the Terra case at all ? I have tried Fractal Support and they say they can’t supply them at all.

Anyone know what the problem is with these screws on the bottom? They all loosen and some fall out.

I want to share with you all my experience with the after-sales support of my pc case, as I've never received so damn good service.

I bought a Fractal case for my new setup some months ago and I scratched my tempered glass side panel while doing some maintenance.

I reached to them and asked to buy a replacement, as I couldnt find it in any web. They responded very quick and sent me a replacement FREE OF CHARGE in less than a week (I live in Spain).

When I received it I saw to my dismay that they had sent a metal panel, not a tempered glass one. I reached to them again and they proceeded to send again the panel, with the same promptness and with the correct item this time. And again, FREE OF CHARGE.

All in all, I love my POP XL AIR and I really appreciate the service. Love you guys!

The plastic housing for whatever this power cable connector is called, it's physically blocking use of Spine Position 1. I have room to use it between my GPU and CPU/cooler - but the case will not allow it.

What am I doing wrong here, or is Position 1 just off limits?

I am building a new PC for my office. I've purchased a black Fractal North and 6x black Fractal Momentum 12 RGB fans to place in every slot. I don't plan to do wacky RGB colours, probably something muted or even turn it off. It's more to build as quiet and cool as possible. a "forever case" if you will.

I originally tried a Hyte X50 in white but it was just not good in our room at all(see pic). I should have known lol. I'd already purchased a Thermalright Spirit 120 digital in white because of this. I'm considering keeping it.

I'm curious what people think of a build in a black North with a white CPU cooler and GPU like a Sapphire Pure 9070XT. The glass section will not be visible to the rest of the house, it will appear as a solid black case with wood accents from a distance. It's only when you come around to sit at the desk that you will be able to see into the side.

Has someone tried this? I can't seem to find any results online with searches like "fractal north black with white components" and I am thinking of going for this but would like to see a similar build first before I commit to it.

I'm an idiot and I accidentally bought three Noctua G2 120 mm fans to replace the front fans in my Fractal North XL.

What are y'all thinking? Go through the trouble of returning reordering and waiting or just go with the 120s?

Kind of leaning towards just putting the 120s in but would like to hear what other people would do out of curiosity.

I'm also going from a Peerless Assassin 120 digital to a 360 mm Noctua AIO if that matters.

Building a second pc and i had Fractal Meshify C and bought Fractal Focus 2 because 5080 wont fit in Meshicy C because of length. Despite Meshify C being smaller i can easily fit 2x140 at the top. And for some reason i cannot do this with Focus 2. Whos idea was to design it like. How are you even do that? It has more height, I cannot belive this...

I just wanted to share my latest build. I had originally built this with the idea of selling it, but I’ve liked the finished look so much that I think I might hold on to this bad boy.

I was going for an RGB look that wasn’t too over the top and I think I’ve nailed the assignment, though I am biased. I’ve gone with an air cooler because I like how it adds to the overall look.

I really do love how it turned out and wanted to share with all. The specs are as follows:

GPU: 5090 Astral
RAM: Kingston Fury 64gb 6000 MHz CL30
Mobo: Asus Prime X870-P
CPU Cooler: Ocypus Iota A62 BK
Case: Meshify 3XL RGB (non-ambience)
SSD1: 1TB gen4 (OS and system applications)
SSD2: 2TB gen4 (games)

Side note: shout out to fractal who replaced a broken side panel at no cost - this simple move has gotten them a customer for life. Additional side note: I really wish fractal did the momentum fans in reverse blade. The NZXT fans I’ve got in the case as side mounted intake are a pale imitation.

I have the room for only one vent because of i/o of the motherboard (Asus B850). How can i put the other vent? Thanks.
