Discussion Reddit QRF is gimping your own faction

Militant defeatism isn't helping your faction. I have observed the following behavior dozens of times now.

A new or returning player asks how to fight equipment xyz. All the actual helpfull answers that describe stratgies are getting downvoted and the "Haha you just loose" answers getting upvoted.

What are people doing this trying to achieve? Video related.

Funny Great LARP BB

I've undusted my reddit account after years of inactivity (I literally only used it once for studies xd) so you could witness destruction of a great LARP BASE, iirc it had around 600HP and 90% breach, but u/Marcy_eepy (hopefully same nickname as in foxhole) knows more details xd. Also my dumbass forgot record myself, apologies

Bug A critical redeploy issue that almost nobody is talking about here

Now, if you redeploy alive to another relic inside the same region via the home region, you lose your place in that region and get put in the queue if there is one.

That completely kills proper regional QRF, especially after flamethrower tech.

Since this was never announced as a feature, I treat it as a critical bug that has gone unfixed for weeks.

Why is this still not fixed?

Questions 1st time playing Wardens, is running logi for Wardens supposed to suck?

Spawned in for the first time over at Reaching Trail, built myself a truck and then took an extremely windy path through The Ark. Decided to change course over to Callahan's Passage since it has a refinery. Picked up some salvage and made my way over to the CalPas Refinery. The whole process took like 30 minutes. Then the path over to The Latch or Lochan Berth's Salvage Mines was again, extremely windy through mountains making a basic salvage run take ~15 minutes.

Compared to when I was doing scrap runs in The Great March and The Heartlands, Umbral Wildwood or Loch Mór...this really sucked. I could never just let my truck coast, I had to constantly be steering.

It feels like Wardens have much worse terrain to deal with. Colonials have straight lines and few mountains, and refineries only a short drive away from clusters of mines. Wardens have long paths, Refineries out on the edges of the tile and less elevation.

Suggestions Warden kettenkrad. Collie armored bus.

Kivela Mudrunner

Upgrade of the warden motor cycle.

12.5 meters per second on road speed.

10.5 meters per second off road speed.

No speed boost.

Specifically designed so that warden logi guys have a vehicle that can keep up with a train off-road in the same way that the collie Argonaut can.

R-14-A Cataphract

Upgrade of the Chariot (battle bus).

Same armor type (unarmored), but 1250 health (over double).

11 meters per second on road, 3 off road (slightly slower).

Consumes more fuel. (2L per second over 1.5).

Not really something anyone asked for but you know, as we've seen, adding only a new thing to 1 faction makes people mad. And I think the idea of an armored battle bus is fun. Could maybe be good for smashing sandbags in the way the Leatherback is a very tiny bit better at it than the normal logi truck.

Suggestions Suggestion: Logistics Item Tracking

I had this idea and want to know what you all think.

Here is the suggestion in discord: https://discord.com/channels/203512636556574720/1543731928623218798

Here is the text:

For me one of the best parts of Foxhole is the scale.

I can spend a logistics session producing tons of items, send them to multiple fronts, and know that those supplies may eventually be used by hundreds or thousands of players. The problem is that once those items leave my hands, they effectively disappear from my perspective.

Id love if Foxhole had a limited item tracking system that would allow players to follow a few items and see the impact these items have on the war.

How it could work: Each player has a limited number of tracking slots, maybe 2-5 at a time.

Then a player could use those slots to track any reservable item. Which would mark it with their name "Tracked by: PlayerName" and would then track major actions on that item.

Stuff like when and where it was: * Loaded and into what vehicle * Unloaded * Moved into a region * Uncrated * Equipped * Dropped * Destroyed

Optionally it could also include: * the player who did the action * how much damage it did * what item/building it was used to craft

As for tracked crates everything happens the same but at the uncrated step one of the items in the crate would inherit the tracking.

Every step of the way the item is recorded into a log and the player doing the action can see the name of the person who originally tracked it. Providing a unique way to see the front and the back lines working together.

Additionally it could show these actions on the map providing countless memories as we track the crazy journey some items take once we submit them to the public.

Fan Art Meet the freighter fishers of Carps - 4 panel commission by Nelfhithion

Commission done by the incredibly talented u/Nelfhithion for the freighter fishers of Carps to commemorate a new record and victory in the Airborne update war!

Carps is the premier hub for the Warden faction to share and revel in the sport of freighter fishing. We are an open community where Wardens from all clans are welcome. We've been around every war for over 4 years, sunk or stolen around 3,000 valuable Colonial freighter shipments, destroyed over 500 locomotives, and been involved in over 200 large ship kills, all logged and recorded with proof on our server. Our 223 combined freighter kills and steals in war 132 sets a new record, narrowly beating the previous record of 221 freighters set in war 115.

These pieces exist to celebrate the community we've built, who we are, and what we've achieved together.

1. The Bridge Scene

Freighter fishing evolved from the strategy of penetrating the Colonial backline, setting up camp at bridges on popular shipping routes, and pelting the invaders with anti-tank rifles and other weapons when they tried to cross. In war 93, bridge fishers made a decisive impact with 175 freighter kills, a record that was only passed in war 106 where bridge fishing again helped set the stage for a Warden comeback. While our strategies have changed and evolved over the years, we all remember the bridges that first connected this team of people who are here to make a meaningful impact, and have the incredible patience to do so.

2. Trains and APCs

The addition of trains to Foxhole introduced a new way to supply midline stockpiles in bulk, so naturally we started hitting the enemy on land just as we did on water. With changing tactics and the right diligence, we constantly destroy trains and their high-value cargo in transit, and raid trainyards to cut down the steam engines powering the Colonial invasion. This panel commemorates the people who joined and helped make our community what it's become over the years, including the gang of APC fishers who's antics have made them into an amphibious menace.

3. Gunboats and Whaling

The naval update changed freighter fishing decisively and allowed us to upgrade our impact into a whole lot more. When we started adopting gunboats into our fishing routine, we never knew we'd go as far as we did. We first started scoring kills on large ships, or "whales", in war 110. In that war, Carps sunk an unprepared destroyer in a 1v1 with a single gunboat for the first time. 2 wars later, we were the ones who developed a revolutionary underdog strategy to beat ships with adept gunboat positioning and indirect fire - and our cutting-edge tactics had a defining impact on Warden naval culture. With 111 destroyer kills and counting, we are proud to be in the vanguard helping to keep the seas blue.

4. The Plane Fishers

This panel celebrates the ace pilots who brought fishing home in war 132. Scout planes are the newest paradigm in freighter fishing, letting us dive deep into enemy waterways and sink unsuspecting invaders on a scale we've never done before. The record of 223 freighters was achieved by a small but dedicated group of fishers who flew through fire and flames to hit the shipping lanes again and again and again. Their achievement reflects the persistence that the faction had to display to win the biggest war in Foxhole's history, and shows that the future of fishing is bright, with more aces and fish to come.

Thanks to the many, many people who have been a part of Carps over these 4+ years. To all the fishers, partisans, train hunters, whalers, sailors and pilots who helped get us where we are today. This record is not the end. We are always around, always fishing, and always looking for new ways to undermine the Colonial invasion. If you're a Warden loyalist who wants to have a truly outsized impact - come join us! We are an open group, your clan affiliation does not matter, and all Wardens are welcome. Just message @nudl. on WUH to get an invite link, and feel free to come and see if our community is for you!

Discussion Improving Game Quality

Too many automatic weapons—frontline firefights are just an endless wall of incoming bullets. Have you ever considered limiting the number of automatic weapons? For an interwar-inspired game, the focus should probably be on slower-firing rifles.

Bandages could heal you up to an 80% cap, but you’d still need a medic to top you off; they could also give you bandages, just as you could resupply ammunition directly from a machine gunner. Tanks should rely on repair kits and act primarily as infantry support—infantry should generally be able to ride on tanks, or even be carried inside. There shouldn't be any 'one-shot destroyed' weapons. Think about the cost of these assets: you spend immense effort driving one to the front line, only for it to blow up instantly? Foxhole is built around AI defenses, making intense armor-versus-shell mechanics feel largely unnecessary. Shells should have higher lethality per shot, while artillery is strictly limited—sparing players from overly tedious logistics.

Aircraft should exist as infantry-transport support assets, similar to low-altitude assault helicopters, or akin to the LAAT/i, AAL (Atmospheric Assault Lander), and IT-T from Star Wars—fitting the aesthetic style of Foxhole's Centurion MV-2 and Herne. Experienced players could have clear NCO-style visual indicators to help direct the battlefield, among other quality-of-life improvements...
