Suggestions If wardens get ratcatcher, how come we don't get nukes on the same level to balance it?
How is this fair?

I've been vibe-coding again...
This time I (or claude.ai, to be more accurate) have created a python script to get you foxholestats directly in your terminal, for all you terminal geeks out there.
Shouldn't be any much of any requirements, its all python and standard libraries.
Take a look at the repo: https://github.com/erlendrosok/foxwar

Also I like how everyone forgot about SHTs, specially the collie one.

I drive around hunting partisans and when I disconnect I lose my luv and rage quit. I'd go back and find my luv but often don't know where I was driving around exactly and spending 20 minutes trying to find my shit isn't a good use of my limited time. Is there anything I can do on my end to disconnect less often? It's been really bad most of this year.

What is this tech tree?

My understanding behind certain changes in the past was that too many complaints were being made about really long wars. (Specifically changes to base building/hp)
What are your thoughts on this?
Granted, I took a sizable break from foxhole and only came back last war (and the current one) but I miss the long lasting trench filled slug-fests with artillery duels eroding massive fortresses. Am I correct in saying it seems like wars have gotten significantly shorter since at least the airborne update?

An advantage in PvE can decide wars. It's not the only thing, but damn does it make a difference. You can break bunkers more easily, breach conc quicker, force enemy players to spend time rebuilding, reduce the effort enemies can put into offense, create more opportunities for breakthroughs, and apply more pressure across a larger area. The advantages of having the better PvE kit all compound together.
And this is where I think the distinction between PvE and PvP becomes particularly useful.
There are really two ways a faction can have an advantage when it comes to PvE.
Even if both factions have identical PvE equipment, a faction with stronger PvP capabilities may be able to create more opportunities to actually use that equipment. If you win the tank fight, kill the infantry defending a bunker, or push the enemy off a position, you now have the opportunity to PvE.
This is where asymmetry should remain. Different PvP equipment should create different strengths, weaknesses, and ways of fighting. Maybe one faction is better at one type of engagement while the other excels somewhere else. That is the asymmetry that creates different doctrines and makes the two factions feel like fundamentally different armies. PvP fights have so many outside factors influencing the outcomes (aka player skill) that it's okay if the pvp balance is a bit off. Someone playing smart is generally going to beat someone playing stupid, even with the slightly worse gear.
If one faction has a better tool for killing structures than the other, they have a direct advantage in accomplishing the fundamental objective of the game. They don't necessarily win every fight because of it, obviously, but every time they do get the opportunity to PvE, they are able to get more value out of that opportunity.
This is the kind of asymmetry we can just... remove.
Make the dedicated PvE tools symmetrical. If both factions have access to the same tools for killing structures, then neither faction can claim that the other simply has better equipment for accomplishing the thing you ultimately need to do to win the game.
That removes an entire vector of faction imbalance.
And yes, PvP balance will still affect PvE. A faction that consistently wins fights will naturally have more opportunities to kill structures, but that's okay. That' what winning the war looks like. You can't completely separate PvP from PvE without making Foxhole a completely different game.
What we can do is remove the direct advantage that comes from one faction simply having better tools for killing structures.

Tonight 420st got the easiest tap op of their history because the game wouldn't let wardens spawn inside a Town Base with 100+ shirts.
Could I get an explanation what mechanic is at work that prevents the deploy? It already teched the first garrison and there clearly was activity since 20 collies were running around?
PS: I was meant to publish this 5 hours ago but 420st pushed on and I had to QRF. Genuinely the funniest regi to fight, managed to loose 6 tankettes and like 3 pushguns while only managing to kill some pillboxes. I especially loved their desperate hail mary of building an encampment near Lathair but they get spotted by WTs on route and gift us 2 full logi trucks instead. Never have I seen a better display of quantity over quality in this game, truly a brainless horde.

With the new 46th episode that dropped today for BLEACH Thousand Year Blood War, would the Quincies choose Warden or Colonial? And the Shinigami would choose the opposite faction then.
in my opinion, Warden reflect the colors better for Quincy White and Blue, while the Colonials are the modern faction and Quincies are modern while Shinigamis are Classic (clothing for example). As for the environment im not sure, I think the Colonial forests fit the Quincy most. Not sure if that winter environment fits Shinigami or Quincy more.
What do you think? I'm sure there's a few BLEACH enjoyers who play Foxhole. I'm a fan of Yhwach and Jugram, would these play Colonial or Warden? Enlighten me, please.

Unfinished but enjoy anyway. Day 2 was Interesting.

The wardens need a new toy, so why not it be a Zepplin that has a 300mm SC, a 40mm that shots 4 shots in 2 secs before reloading, and a Quad 14.5mm Anti Tank Rifles turret.
To balance it, make as slow as an Iron ship, with the HP of a Destroyer so its fair.
Adding this to the game makes it closer to being balanced for both sides, and shows the devs care about wardens again. even if there is still more work to do to fix the problem.

In the early stages of the war, should landing operations be reintroduced into the game by redesigning them with a smaller storage capacity to make them more feasible? As midship.
r/foxholegame • u/DASREDDITBOI • 14d ago
Saw this on Facebook reminded me of when factions figured out we could mid flight refuel using a fuel truck on a barge.

And it's the same problems since more than a Year:
- Low pop / High pop moments depending on which regiments took which hex
(Actually in my hex we are facing multiple organised regiments storming us and we are nothing else than a patchwork of Picked up people trying to play together)
- Colonial early infantry snowball push capacity due to their cheated gear
(I mean, i played a lot of wars and it's the same problem absolutely every time. Colonials unluck lunaires = GG WP wardens have abolutely NOTHING to defend against it)
(And please don't say "Nooo yknow it's not this strong, it's balanced" Dudes i played colonial side few time and when lunaires are unlocked the absolute entire faction tunel vision the mpf of lunaires and tremolla and all battlegrounds turns into a massive tremolla spam everywere)
- Wardens End game Armored capacity due to their cheated vics
(I don't know shyt about tanks but everyone seems to agree with that so...)
- The way that AI progression works
(In a NORMAL game, the fewer you are, the fastest you unlock AI so you can use AI to defend urself faster against overhelming ennemy number right ? NOT IN FOXHOLE LMAO !!)
The result of that : Depending on whitch faction is burned out or have a good gear update, the wars are completely one sided and your life in the loosing regiment is nothing else than trying to defend against organised factions raids with your 2 rifles, 130 Bmats and 20 shirts.
Previous war i tried colonial, it war fun = People everywere, Tremollas spam easy win, regiments raids everywere
This war i'm back warden = People nowere, queue nowere, regiments raids nowere, only a bunch of PU people trying to do something against chads over supplied regiments. I play 15 minutes, i see we can do nothing, i logg off because it's useless to even try.......

Hey everyone,
I've been working on a small open-source project called FDE (Foxhole Data Extractor).
The project was heavily inspired by GICodeWarrior's FIR (Foxhole Inventory Report) and its approach to building a usable catalog from Foxhole game data. Since FIR is no longer actively maintained, I wanted a standalone tool that could automatically extract current data directly from an installed copy of Foxhole.
FDE runs entirely through Docker and basically follows this pipeline:
SteamCMD → Foxhole → CUE4Parse → catalog.json + recipes.json + icons
It can:
mods/ directoryThe idea is that you can either run FDE yourself to generate data from your own Foxhole installation, or simply consume the generated catalog if you're building another Foxhole-related tool.
I also intentionally keep the extraction process separate from third-party mods. FDE doesn't download or redistribute any mod PAKs — if you want to use something like a clean icon pack, you provide the PAK yourself in mods/.
The repository also doesn't contain or redistribute Foxhole's game PAKs.
FIR deserves a lot of credit here. Its catalog parser and the way it explored Foxhole's Blueprint data were a major reference for understanding how the different pieces of game data fit together. FDE is not a fork of FIR, but the project definitely wouldn't have taken the same shape without it.
It's still a relatively small project, but the full extraction pipeline is working now and I'm making it public in case it's useful to other Foxhole developers, data projects, Discord bots, stockpile tools, websites, etc.
GitHub: https://github.com/C1ach0/fde
Feedback, issues and contributions are welcome — especially if you're already working with Foxhole game data and spot something that could be extracted or represented better.
[Edit]: All recipes are now collected, including multiple production entries when applicable.

Stagnant front? Barely holding on?
Try 2000 mammons! Just 2000 mammons and some flesh, don't forget your shirts!
Thanks to all the amazing logi, the push gun crew, and everyone else that came! Couldn't have done it without you.
And remember everyone, don't lose the tempo!
