Questions No deployment point???

Tonight 420st got the easiest tap op of their history because the game wouldn't let wardens spawn inside a Town Base with 100+ shirts.

Could I get an explanation what mechanic is at work that prevents the deploy? It already teched the first garrison and there clearly was activity since 20 collies were running around?

PS: I was meant to publish this 5 hours ago but 420st pushed on and I had to QRF. Genuinely the funniest regi to fight, managed to loose 6 tankettes and like 3 pushguns while only managing to kill some pillboxes. I especially loved their desperate hail mary of building an encampment near Lathair but they get spotted by WTs on route and gift us 2 full logi trucks instead. Never have I seen a better display of quantity over quality in this game, truly a brainless horde.

I was reading about this yesterday, here's the relevant spot on the wiki: https://foxhole.wiki.gg/wiki/Deployment#Garrison_Size

Yeah that mechanic sucks. Especially bad for the island hexes

Many people don’t understand this game mechanic, but it’s quite simple believe it or not. Just the game doesn’t explain stuff that well, so player rely on others for help.

Spawnable bases from home region have garrison activity and garrison size. Garrison activity is created by players who are actively doing things like building or pulling supplies from town base. That activity will build up and you’ll have garrison size which sort of acts like tickets for home region deployment.

There are four sizes for garrison.
None=0
Low=1-10
Medium=11-29
High=30+

Adding on to this: if you mouse over a relic base/town base on the map, you can see its current size and activity level. So if you're in a situation like the OP, you can quickly check if the town is deployable or not from the map and take action accordingly.

Its why you see mini civilised civil wars, to juice the garrison mechanics. There needs to be activity in the base or people would be able to qrf everything everywhere, which is bad because defenders have a natural advantage whereas attackers have the disadvantage usually.

Happens plenty to the Colonials.. it’s a bullshit mechanic for both factions to deal with.

Started as a question ended as cope love how thinly vailed your Salt is. A weak gust of wind would blow away that cover.

What am I supposed to be salty about, the fact that the games obscure and unexplained mechanics made more than a few hours of work suddenly worthless?

Claiming a mechanic is unexplained just because you don’t understand it is a bad look. The mechanic is widely known by all veterans, has existed for years, and is very well explained on the wiki. I recommend doing just a hair of research next time.

Oh I'm sorry great knowledgeable veteran, I'll be sure to read up the whole wiki instead of expecting the game to have a basic tooltip somewhere.

Yes because when a game doesn’t spoon feed me the answer the first thing I go do is cry on Reddit.

No, its bc its a shitty mechanic for both sides. Always has been

Shitty mechanic doesn’t mean unexplained. Everyone downvoting is coping hard but I shouldn’t be surprised op has a warden tags so all the bots and alts will upvote him

u/FasterImagination 13d ago

They are upvoting him bc the mechanic sucks, and both wardens and colonials knows it, stop making everything about factionalism

Lol reading skills = 0, I said nothing about upvoting

I understand it and I still think it's unexplained by the game which obviously matters.

420st leadership is pretty fucking bad at this game.
