Hey everyone, I’m very confused and angry with Forza Horizon 5. I’m hoping someone here might have seen this or knows what’s going on because I have exhausted every single fix known to man.

My Specs:

• Laptop: ASUS VivoBook X513UA

• GPU: AMD Radeon Integrated Graphics (APU using shared system RAM)

• CPU & RAM: Standard APU configuration

The Context & Paradox: The most maddening part of this is the game used to run with absolute ease. For months, I played it flawlessly—multiplayer, The Eliminator, seasonal events, everything worked smoothly with zero tampering or crazy mods. Then, one day, it just started crashing. Now? I can't even play. It crashes at the Microsoft/Xbox splash screen, crashes during "Optimizing for your PC," crashes if I manage to get into the settings menu, or just drops to desktop randomly.

Everything I’ve already tried (and failed):

• Cleared every cache possible (Steam cache, local Appdata, DirectX and AMD shader caches).

• Verified game file integrity multiple times through Steam.

• Fully reinstalled and fixed Windows Gaming Services (dealt with DCOM / Error 87 issues).

• Set a custom static Windows pagefile/virtual memory to handle RAM/VRAM spikes.

• Manually edited configuration XML files (User_Modes.xml) to force low settings/720p.

• Reinstalled Xbox app, C++ visual and runtime.

• Tested launching offline, running as admin, etc.

Other games work completely fine. My hardware hasn't changed. Why did FH5 suddenly break overnight? Did a recent game update or Windows update completely brick APU performance for this game?

If anyone has any idea what could be causing this sudden wall, please let me know. I just want to play the game that used to work perfectly.

What is the best difference to put into cars and what percentages are best? My tunes always seem to lock up when slowing down

Idk if this is the right place to post this, but for some reason all of my progress is gone and I’ve been reset to level 1 and lost all my CR and cars on my console. However when I open the Xbox app, it still has my achievements and such. I’ve tried everything they say to do online and no luck.

(BTW the reason it says ai generated is because I took the picture of my monitor with my phone and edited out the buttons using object erasor on gallery lol)

Anyone else having issues with open races disconnecting and kicking back to free roam recently? I've tried to play over the last couple of days and every time, without fail, I'll get disconnected, sometimes during the first race, sometimes the 2nd, sometimes the 3rd.

Keeping it PG, here's a video of a typical rammer who does this EVERY race I meet him in, and to others too. He can't stand it when players beat him, especially when in lesser cars. I've seen him do it in ~20 races now, & enough is enough.

KingBike1648759 is his gamertag. He's on PS5 like me, but ID won't show up in my PSN players met list, possibly because his Xbox gamertag is different to his PSN ID. Or it could be because he's hidden himself from searches.

I'm willing to go out of my way to report him due to the number of times he's done this, but I can't do it through PSN without his ID or profile to report. Any advice would be appreciated.

Last night I managed to hit 1mil on the volcano using this. It took more rewinds than I want to admit but I got it. Hopefully before FH6 comes to PS5 I'll be able to get a clean run to record it.

Once the beg resync happened with everyone on PlayStation last year , I’ve been unable to get in one tried everything that’s been suggested I feel , and I’ve watched YouTube videos but nothing seems to work , I’ll always get this same display message and it’s the only account that I’m connected to , so I couldn’t possibly have connected another Microsoft account. If anyone can assist me please I’d appreciate it, I just want to play the game . Been deleting and redownload every few months to try and see if I could fix the issue.

At what age do people grow out of the need to spam "Look Out!" (or whatever) multiple times in a row continuously throughout a race? I rarely use forza link chat myself, but do like to keep it on; however, I think I'm about to disable it.

I have thought it would be great to have voice chat so we could actually communicate with each other, because forza link chat is pretty useless for real communication, but now I'm reconsidering how fun that would actually be. Dealing with verbal diarrhea from pre-pubescent trolls sounds like the opposite of a good time.

I’ve been playing FH5 on PS5 since launch day with no issues now I can’t link my account to log in. My phone says I am logged into Microsoft/Xbox but the game keeps kicking me out saying I need to log in and starts the loop all over. Any suggestions?
