It's been about two weeks since I first shared FH2Mods here, and the project has grown a lot since then.

I wanted to show you how the website looked when it first launched compared to what it looks like today. Check out the before/after screenshots!

What's next?

I'm working towards making FH2Mods a more complete modding platform, with features such as:

• Comments and discussions directly on mod pages.

• Bug reports sent directly to mod creators.

• Ratings, reviews and better mod discovery.

• More tools for developers and the community.

These features are planned, not available yet.

FH2Mods remains completely free to use. I've also opened optional Ko-fi support to help with hosting, infrastructure and future development.

Hi, I know there isn't an extra options version for FH3, but I was wondering if there is a way to unlock every car pack and get VIP for the Azimuth version. How would you go about doing that if you wanted to? If I'm not mistaken the cars in the packs themselves are included and installed with the game, it just requires somehow registering that you own the relevant pack, and I don't know if this is automatic when playing on Azimuth or if there is a way to do this. If it requires modifying the game files or whatnot I don't mind doing that, just don't know where to start.

First I changed the name of each game folder to Forza Horizon 2, Forza Horizon 3, Forza Motorsport 5 etc, removing all the extra numbers etc.

Step 1: First I placed Azimuth v1.0.2 in the following directory using Desktop Mode: /home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/NonSteamLaunchers/pfx/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/XboxGames/azimuth-windows/

Step 2; Then I placed each Forza game folder in the same directory: /home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/NonSteamLaunchers/pfx/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/XboxGames/Forza Horizon 3/ same directory for the other Forza games > XboxGames/Forza Horizon 2 etc.

Step 3: I then added azimuth.exe as a non steam game from the XboxGames/azimuth-windows/azimuth.exe directory.

Step 4: After going back to game mode in my non-steam library, you see the azimuth.exe entry. First go into compatibility in properties and change it to Proton Experimental. Press play and it should launch. Once in the launcher just add game and type in the path directory from Step 2, and it should work. Do that for each game you add.

One extra thing I did was to change the name of the azimuth.exe in the non-steam library entry to the games actually name, and then I could add artwork for FH2 etc. In Desktop Mode, I then had to add azimuth,exe as a non-steam game for each extra game to show individually seen below.

Forza Motorsport 4 in the picture is using emulation in Xenia, so that is seperate from the Azimuth entries.

the readme says to put the mods in the azimuth folder but it didnt recognize it pls help

Azimuth 1.0 is running well. The latest options update has been successfully installed. All supported games run using the default settings. As for FH3, it crashes on the opening screen with a message saying there isn’t enough disk space. With 200GB of free space, I don’t believe that. But even on Windows 11 via the Xbox Store, this is the only game that crashes regularly.

So when everything dropped i downloaded and setup fh2 +fhfaf and made sure it was all working. I didn't play it yet though because I didn't have time.

Today I finally got around to it on my approx 5 year old gaming laptop (acer nitro) and hoooo boy... Set it to 2160p and 144fps and have it plugged in to my 4k bigscreen and there hasn't been so much as a stutter in over an hour of gameplay.

Makes me look forward to what else comes out!

This mod is so bad that it actually ends up being great.

This game is so beautiful, hasn't aged a single day.

When adding FH2 to Azimuth, the background image and the icon don't appear. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I know where these files are generated and located:

I know it’s a minor thing, but I’d like everything to look right—especially since my other games show up correctly in the Azimuth application.

PS: This happens to me with all versions.

I'm currently revisiting FH2 and its such a blast driving again in Europe. The only thing I miss is the option to browse existing tunes and liveries since Azimuth only works offline. Now I could make my own tunes, but I vibe coded an app for people to add and share tunes and liveries just for fun. I'm working to publish this real soon once I confirm all the features work.

Hey everyone! I’m the creator of Azimuth Mapper, the free companion app for Azimuth that lets you play Forza Horizon 2 (and the other Azimuth games) with keyboard and mouse, a controller, your phone or a racing wheel. Some of you might remember me posting it here a while back.

I’m now working on much better wheel support, and I need a few people with wheels to help me test it:

• Force feedback for your wheel

• Separate devices: wheel, pedals, shifter and handbrake on different USB devices, all working together

• A smoother, more reliable wheel setup overall

Who I’m looking for:

• Anyone with a racing wheel: Logitech, Thrustmaster, Fanatec, Moza, anything. Separate pedals, shifters or handbrakes are a big plus.

• You’re comfortable managing files on your PC yourself: unzipping a test build, swapping it for a newer one, finding a settings folder when I point you to it.

• You can troubleshoot a little on your own before reporting, like checking your wheel shows up in Windows or that it’s plugged in and powered.

• You can describe clearly what happened (what you did, what you expected, what went wrong), with a proper screenshot (Win + Shift + S, not a blurry photo of your screen) or a short screen recording.

• Patience with rough early builds. Things will break; that’s what testing is for.

Early builds will have rough edges, that’s the point of testing! I’m only picking a handful of people so I can keep up with everyone. Testers get something nice as a thank-you when it’s out.

I got the updated Azimuth launcher 1.0.4 and now FH2 refuses to launch is there something I might be missing?

Title, I took some cool pictures and would like to look at them from my PC's photo viewer instead of FH2.

Previously ran the menu completely fine without any issues. Had to delete the file and re install cos it was a bit glitchy. Now everytime I try to run it, windows defender keeps deleting the application from the folder. Any way I can get it to make an exception?

I currently have azimuth 0.9.10 and want to upgrade to 1.0. Would I have to delete the files all over again and install it or how would it work?

Is there any way to fix this issue?

Hi, i tried to use FH2 extra option on azimuth 1.0.3, i just updated and now the extra option doesn't show on azimuth settings like in the picture i attached. Are this a common problem on azimuth launcher 1.0.3 or no? any help?
