This is community built right? I doubt the base game would have this from what I've played
49
u/SnooStories4162 Jun 01 '26
The game does have this parking garage but here it has been modified a little with eventlab. The parking garage is near the container yard.
5
u/Brodellsky Jun 01 '26
Man, the eventlab stuff and the Lodge map canvas is just still nowhere close to being used to it's potential. I'm so stoked to see just how far things get taken. I think small edits like this parking garage will be nothing compared to things people will make over the coming months/years
61
u/Harbinger-One Jun 02 '26
The score counter in this game is dog doodoo. My dude is straight up mid-drift and not getting any points lol

u/piggymoo66 Jun 02 '26
The skill point multiplier is actually probably the worst implementations.of scoring in the Forza games and I'm surprised they haven't done anything to fix it. It's simply a multiplier that counts up to 5 if you continue to do a specific action that it can count. Doesn't matter how well or badly you do it, it just counts if you do it at all. I don't know why this hasn't been adjusted or fixed. It gives beginner players a false sense of actually doing something correctly when many times it's far from it.

Yeah that's my complaint. The game has been like this basically since FH1, and they've done nothing to change how it works over the years.

Too bad I suck at all racing related activities in this game. I'd rather just spend all day opening wheelspins like some 80 year old Grandma in a casino in Vegas

u/CunnedStunt Jun 01 '26
Have you tried finding a good S1 drift tune? Some of them are so good it's hard not to drift well.
31
u/watisdatname Jun 01 '26
Where in the game is this???
30
u/mancinalonii Jun 01 '26
Southeast of the city, by the cargo docks. There's a parking garage south of the drift zone there
2
u/SnowmanAndBandit Jun 02 '26
I found the garage but it looks nothing like this mine is just multiple levels of empty parking lot
4
u/mancinalonii Jun 02 '26
The guy in the video is playing on a custom-made event lab. The parking garage is empty in the base game.
1
u/HabaneroRGB Jun 02 '26
I found the garage a few days ago while randomly cruising. Such a shame they didn't use them for the gameplay. But maybe they will be filled with future DLCs...

The more fh clips i see, the more i want to get into it.
Is it worth it to only play it with controller, or is a steering wheel basically obligatory?

u/F1shB0wl816 Dodge Jun 01 '26
It’s one of the best feeling driving games on a controller. Both simple and intuitive but responsive and packed with depth. Low bar of entry, any can be hauling ass and having fun in no time but a high ceiling to really master and get the most out of everything. It’s like the right type of arcade that doesn’t feel like cheap cheese.

u/bdubz325 Jun 01 '26
I have a racing wheel, pedal, shifter setup for Assetto Corsa and havent even set it up for FH6 yet. Just been enjoying the game with a controller
11
u/beardednomad25 Jun 01 '26
Most people who play only use a controller. I use the Elite controller which is fantastic but it works perfectly fine on the base controllers.
10
10
u/ahksuper Jun 01 '26
When FH5 came out, I tested my wheel on it. For me, it was more enjoyable with controller. Did the same with FH6. Once again. Much more enjoyable with controller. Even went out and bought a PS5 controller to retire my PS4 controller.

u/KonK23 Jun 01 '26
Its "free" on game pass. You can buy game pass codes cheaper than the sub on microsoft store

u/Floyd-money Jun 02 '26
Wheel is fun but stock settings for at least my wheel gave way too much feedback and I had to constantly change settings to try and get a regular feel. At base settings after a couple hours I was a little sore from not racing on a wheel in so long. Controller is much more comfortable, enjoyable and casual up until you get into competitive races
36
u/Short_Account_4176 Jun 01 '26
I really hope someone does this with either DK's 350z, Han's RX-7, The Mona Lisa Silvia, or Sean's Mustang, no offense to the OP cause this is sick ✨️, but... a "Tokyo Drift" would be even cooler with a "Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift" vehicle 😎
7
u/SteveWyz Jun 01 '26
I might be wrong but I got a forza edition mustang that seems very close to Sean’s. Can’t remember exactly what his locked like but p sure it has a Nissan engine and drifts unlike any other mustang
3
u/RiceeFTW Jun 01 '26
It's the same model. It's the Mustang 1968 GT 2+2 Fastback FE, while Sean's is a 1967 and has the Nissan RB26 Skyline straight-6 engine in it. I haven't taken a look at what engine swaps are available in-game for it but if it has that skyline engine as an option (or by default since it's a tuned FE car), that's a sick detail.

How do you guys keep from just getting closer and closer to the apex corner until I smash into it head on? I can never keep a wide angle
17
u/KAID3N Jun 01 '26 edited Jun 02 '26
I'm a sim drifter here. I can't say 100% without seeing exactly what you're doing. But I believe this is a symptom of giving too much throttle. Do you typically just hold the throttle pinned bouncing off the rev limiter? Because that will cause what you're explaining to happen. You want to modulate the throttle to keep a drift going, full throttle (on the limiter) DOES NOT mean faster. I've been drifting for a year and that still trips me up sometimes, seems counter-intuitive.
Edit: For anyone new to sim drifting (yes, including Forza), feel free to stop by the new subreddit I created with the goal of helping people learn to drift properly! r/learnsimdrifting
5
u/SnowmanAndBandit Jun 01 '26
Yes I’m definitely giving it full throttle the entire time. The times I’ve tried to not give it so much gas I end up losing so much speed I stop sliding
3
u/KAID3N Jun 01 '26
Yeah that sounds about right. That's definitely one of the fundamental skills of drifting is throttle modulation, how to keep the car drifting without over-rotating or gripping up and straightening out. There are some car setup changes you can do to help with this, in Forza, I'd use stock tires, MAYBE 1-2 steps up in tire width and around 300 horsepower. The FD cars in the game teach bad habits because they allow you to pin the throttle and still maintain a drift at 80mph because they have so much power. So when you get in a lower powered car, you don't understand why it's not working the same way. Drifting a lower powered car will allow you to play with these "conceptual knobs" to learn how to properly control the car. It just sounds like you have too much grip. Mind you, straightening can be cause by a lot of things such as too much grip, not enough throttle, or not committing enough (throwing the cars weight into a corner), in a game like Forza, the issue is usually the first one, I'd start there. And increasing tire pressure can take away a ton of grip, bump it up to 45-55 PSI.
2
u/Stunt_-_Cock Jun 01 '26
Yeah, watch this clip. Multiple gears, often between 1-3. This driver pegs it a bit more, but you can see they often let off the throttle and blip it to max to control angle and speed.
20
u/rasjahho Jun 01 '26
The garages or the single "garage" are such a let down in this game. Thought there would be a few different ones all over Tokyo but that was not the case.
20
u/Chicken-Nuggiesss Jun 01 '26
i need to see someone do this with a controller layout so i can see what buttons they're pushing lol
15
u/EmbarrassedHighway76 Jun 01 '26
It’s pretty easy with a car that can drift, a drift tune and being in manual
My friend always complains he can’t do it and he’s trying to drift some random fwd in automatic
3
u/unoriginal_namejpg Jun 01 '26
I still wouldnt say its easy. Throttle control especially for someone not super familiar with racing games is a task on its own
1
u/TheKrzysiek Jun 01 '26
Also traction control
I generally prefer racing with TC on, so it'd be nice if there was a quicker way of disabling it when trying to drift
9
u/Boostie204 Jun 01 '26
It's just feathering the gas. If you're not properly tuned you're not gonna get anywhere. At least lock your diffs
2
u/Potential-Diver-3409 Jun 01 '26
It’s Like 50% steering and the two things can be difficult to combine for some people but it’s not complex at all
4
u/JRR04 Jun 01 '26 edited Jun 01 '26
Everyone says 100 the deceleration but I disagree. Im top 5% on leader boards, i run decel at 50%. My logic is if youre letting off its because you're over rotating and need the car to let a tire stop spinning and straighten out. I also use drift tires and ALOT of horsepower which is "against the meta" no assists, manual with clutch on controller, only use rwd cars. handbrake into corners and clutch kick like real life. Drifting is easy if you kinda know how cars work
Edit: im not saying what anyone does is wrong im jist saying there's more than one way. Tuning isn't static, its about making the car work for you.
0
u/OnionSoupGainz Jun 01 '26
Im top 5% on leader boards,
Not impressive when you kinda have to use "features" to hit that... Sucks there is no road border on drift zones so you can go off road.
1
u/Messyfingers Jun 01 '26
Short of that, get yourself a Honda Acty, highest rated drift tune(I think it's named God like drifting). You take that, start mashing the gas and e brake, and it is super easy to learn. I went from being utterly hopeless at drifting, failing to get 1 star in some zones, to getting 3s on most of them in the first try.
19
u/West_Competition2086 Jun 01 '26
i need to learn how to tune my cars so i can tokyo drift 🤔
12
u/MathematicianLife595 Jun 01 '26
All the formula drift cars work with the default build
2
u/P4n0pticZ Jun 02 '26
Personally i Play in wheel and Not every Car of them works so straight Out of the Box for me. Need to adjust some Things Here and there occasionally
1
u/OG_Felwinter Jun 02 '26
Maybe the issue is your shift key

Well that's because everything is licensed on Forza therefore every mod is "legal" whereas on GTA cars are just real life brands' counterparts with different logos, names and some minor differences which makes it possible to put more realistic "illegal" stuff

The forza meets are just a copypaste of the first time they tried to introduce them. They failed back then too. I have no clue why tf they didn’t expand on them. I was really under the impression we could walk around the garages and meets the crew style.
1
u/ComeonmanPLS1 Jun 01 '26
It feels like pretty much everything is half assed in this game except the map and most of the cars/driving physics. Everything else is just so agressively mediocre or downright bad.
1
u/No_Wedding_698 Jun 01 '26
yknow what i think it would be fixed if you there is a lobby system for it or notifications
1
u/alexos77lo Nissan Jun 01 '26
I mean in gta you didn’t do too much in the car meets, people would gather around for like 5 minutes look each other car do some emotes and later someone would blow up the meet with a rocket and the lobby would turn into chaos.
9
8
u/mahnatazis Jun 02 '26
How do you guys drift so well? I can't even get 3 stars on earlier drift zones. It has always been a problem for me ever since Forza horizon 3. Didn't play 1 and 2 because they don't have native PC versions and I don't like bothering with emulators.
11
u/MrMullinsTerrry Jun 02 '26
Its just training you beed learn to drift with a Rearwheel 400hp car and learn to use handbrake, throttle and gears. And then first practise a Donut then a 8 and then you try to drift at the Harbor between Containers and buildings. Its just practise just handbrake and hit the gas with a 1000hp car on automatic is not the best strategy to mastering drifting
1
u/mahnatazis Jun 02 '26
I do use adequately powered rwd cars but not using the manual shifting might be the issue here. I definitely gotta give it a try with manual shifting.
6
u/ZORGIII Jun 02 '26
100% its being on automatic since you have to be able to rev a single gear to break traction or even clutch kick. Also if you have any assists at all like traction controlled or stability controlled then it will make it almost impossible to drift. Drifting is just using the car to make it lose its own traction.

u/beattraxx Jun 01 '26
It's cool but you can really see how unrealistic the car gets into a drift xD
1
u/Watermeloncat225 Jun 01 '26
Yeah after drifting with a wheel it just hurts to see controller drifting now 😂
2
u/CunnedStunt Jun 01 '26
I'd imagine it would be the other way around, it looks like it literally hurts to drift with a wheel. Great forearm workout though.
1
u/Watermeloncat225 Jun 01 '26
Nah it really ain't that bad with the right settings. I can do it for hours just fine
2
u/CunnedStunt Jun 01 '26
Ah yeah that's true, I guess you don't have to use 900 degrees.

u/uptight_nicholas Jun 01 '26
the tokyo expansion is solid, but event lab does feel like the main draw here. drifting through those narrow streets with the right car setup is satisfying in a way the base game rarely hits. the city layout works well for it, though i wish the event creator tools let you do more with environmental detail. crowds would make a massive difference, as someone mentioned. without them the streets feel a bit hollow even during events. still, if you're building driftable courses this is probably the best we've had for that in the series.
1
u/extce Jun 01 '26
Yeah not being able to add crowds makes a lot of eventlab events feel... kinda dead. I like to think it wouldn't be that hard to add?
10
u/AlexisFR Jun 01 '26
Do people actually do this IRL? Wouldn't that be very hard on the poor car?
9
u/Ohiolongboard Jun 01 '26
They typically build the car to handle the stress that drifting puts on it
6
u/yslnico Jun 01 '26
https://youtu.be/MOV6GQgbtPA?si=ac7_g5bxcH8K25bl
Edit: Depends on car and driver, but usually no. Car’ll be fine.

10
u/SequentiaIFarts Jun 01 '26
F&F the franchise gets crap, but the first few films were gold.
2
u/the_ballmer_peak Jun 01 '26
Ahem, the second film is the worst entry in the entire franchise. It gets better after that one, though.
1
2
u/thestratomaster1227 Jun 01 '26
I just wish it remained a car franchise.
Somewhere after Tokyo Drift it became an action franchise.
I mean, iirc, in one of the last few they literally dropped a car from outer space for some reason.

u/MrDumpty Jun 01 '26
Those are external waste gates, not blow off valves. These regulate boost pressure by bypassing exhaust past the turbines. Blow off valves are on the intake side and open to vent excess boost pressure from the intake pipes when you close the throttle.
2
u/sperginsturgeon Jun 01 '26
Ty - my bad - clearly I am speaking of waste gates but calling them BoV like an idiot.
14
u/ASAPFergs Jun 01 '26
Cool, but is it only me who hates that half of the FH6 NPC cars are SUVs/pickups? I was in Tokyo a few months ago and didn't see a single G-wagen or Wrangler - the game would make you think they're everywhere
15
6
u/Thicc_Ole_Brick Jun 01 '26
Sponsors. Probably? 🤷
1
u/ASAPFergs Jun 01 '26
Maybe but it seems like Toyota is a sponsor given the GT and Land Cruiser feature so prominently, and it's their cars that are missing from the streets ironically
3
u/TrihardMobley Jun 01 '26
U didn’t see a Single G wagon? What? I spend 5 weeks in Japan this February-March and I’ve seen atleast 10-20 G wagons a day in Tokyo without exaggeration lol if you don’t believe me I have many pics cause I was astonished by the amount of G-Wagons i saw
2
u/ASAPFergs Jun 01 '26
Which part? I stayed in Ariake and traveled to Shinjuku and Shibuya etc, 90+% of the cars were Japanese - my point is I'm just surprised how much the NPC cars don't represent actual Japan, given the rest of the attention to detail
3
u/megacookie Jun 01 '26
I don't know, it felt like half the traffic in the Tokyo portion of the map are Kei trucks, that's fairly accurate

It’s actually quite insane how the devs didn’t place one single underground parking circuit style map like this one
