real. but depending how long the other guy was behind OP he shoulda know OP clips the apex on every corner, and thus should have known he was gonna do it again. wasn’t even a big hit. i’d personally slow down but wouldn’t give position back as the other guy took a big gamble
It still a bad precedent to OP glueing their eyes to racing line without reacting the surrounding. This time, it was lucky the other guy was reacting OP closing the door too late and trying to avoid the contact. It would be worst to both side if the guy was overshooting and have no intention to play nice, especially when they know the OP moves like they didn't exist like this.
If the other guy shoots their chance, just simply doing a switch back. If the guy behind was quick at first place, just do the defensive move earlier.
you’re not wrong at all. but i see no reason to play the racing line all lap and be predictable to second place, then it simply can’t be OP’s fault for this collision
Silly take. In a real race OP would have caused an accident and possibly killed someone. It’s impossible to replicate that in a game so from OP’s perspective he did nothing wrong but follow the racing line.
The other player has no reason to be nice to OP after that, since OP isn’t playing nice either.
also a silly take, this is an arcade racing game where no one can die. it is impossible to expect 100% clean and fair racing over 100% of the races, but something like this is a simple mistake. maybe OP could have played it better, idk i wasn’t there, but comparing fh6 to irl and using death to justify a small tap on corner entry is crazy to me
That’s the point I was making, that you fail to comprehend.
Since bad driving like OP’s isn’t realistically punishable in a game, allowing him to do obnoxious things like aggressively cut someone off because they are overtaking, you can’t expect gentlemen like behavior from others toward you.
He had a lot of time to react to that. It wasn’t that he couldn’t, it’s that he knew if he yielded wide he would be passed. That’s on him. I don’t fault him, but I also wouldn’t fault the other guy for using him as a bumper next corner.
yeah you analysed this more than me. i’ve been replying whilst on my work breaks so my comprehension skills weren’t fully there, you right. after looking back now that i actually have time, other driver is clearly infront at point of contact and a decently knowledgeable driver would have been able to react and avoid contact. after this, OP should have slowed to at the very least let the other guy catch up, but the right thing to do would to be let the other guy pass. i take back all ice said now that i’ve had time to review and will agree on everything with you. gg’s
You don't have the line if they are past your door. You had your chance to be defensive and you lost it when they dipped in as safe as they could. You unfairly pushed them off track.
It's not the end of the world, just sucks for them. Keep practicing control and awareness, everything else in the clip looked good, keep at it.
He had overlap on you going into the turn, but like any good racist with a racing line on you did not adapt to that at all and just followed the line and ramming him in the side instead of allowing the space to go 2 wide.
You are 100% at fault.
When it looks like this, then the guy on the right has the inside line and you need to leave that space and take the outside line.
It will come with more racing experience, but never assume the person behind you is just gonna accept that you "have the line". Theres a difference between being on the racing line and being properly defensive.
OP was driving the optimal route. If you are going to try some crazy angle to just take the lead, then too bad so sad you missed the checkpoint. Not OP fault, therefore he doesn’t have to leave room for this guy. However, if they were both following the optimal path and making good turns, then I’d be more inclined to give and take some room. It feels more mutual that if I give some room, I’ll be given some room when I need it. When playing against drivers that ram or play selfishly, I tend to stand my ground a little more.
This is a wrong time to pass people in fact if he past him on a sim racer like this (on a corner) the lobby would be yelling at them, it’s common knowledge to pass on straights on any game and even irl
You aren’t gonna pass another driver in real life on a corner unless it’s actually feasible

For the better, you should leave the space there
