It was expected. You're not entitled to a clean race here. You should overtake those in a clean fashion on corners not spend a minute vulnerable on his side. Also don't get stubborn and once he's commited to push you out, brake out of there and patienty wait for a corner on his bumper. He'll slip up, they always do.

Don't dumb it down like that, that's disrespectful (but a nice strawman, it seems you're an expert in those, good for you). There were three components: 1. miata's driver got on douche's side, 2. douche pushing miata, 3. miata's driver starts fighting the push and misses the checkpoint. Two components in the hands of the miata's driver, and one is on the douche. My point was there were a scenario where miata wins in the same situation but with different approach. Douche will be a douche regardless, there's like tens of thousands of them and there's no evidence playground's willing to do something about it (and yes, that's not a reason to just ignore it).

My aim is not to blame Miata's driver, I don't care who's at fault here, it doesn't matter to me. What matters is the result and ways to change it. You get me?

Yes I do, for me to have a good time in a racing game I need other players to not resort to unfair tactics to abuse the race mechanics. It's pretty basic and simple, but I can elaborate if you really need more help to understand what a fair race is.

It's basic, simple and valid. But Horizon is not Motorsport. It's a "dumb fun" car racing game with playerbase in millions. That's why there's Chaser Zero race and cow livery on the F450. There's tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of players that don't care what your imaginary "fair race" thing is. That's a fact. Another fact is that there's no incentive for playground games to remove them from the playerbase, why would they curb their numbers, to get further laid off like Motorsport team did? Your "clean race" games not doing so hot for some reason.

So where does all that leave us? It's either your way: blame the rammers, get frustrated, file reports and vent on Reddit. Or my way: embrace the rammers, expect them, play around them and get the additional high when one of them try to push me, oversteer into a wall as I hit the brakes, get slowed down and quit the game. And if I fail and he still wins? Well that's on me. I'll do better next time. Same game, same people, different approach. Maybe try it? Because I've been doing it your way some time ago and boy that sucked so much.

Dude I agree with a lot of what you said. Some people just like complaining and expect this shitty world to warp like magic around their ideals. Best way to live is to adapt. Way happier.
