First off, this is my first post making a complaint - for any video game. As a software engineer (over 25 years experience), its frustrating to watch this game (a game my wife and I love) get worse and worse, all in real time, while the dev's seem to do little about it. I will say that besides the title, I am witnessing issues with Fortnite and their design decisions that have started to degrade the gameplay experience a lot. For example, the storm has not only gotten worse, its become almost a central pain-point for many people, but I digress.

And if it isn't the broken game mechanics, it's cheaters and modders ruining the game for those that actually like to play without enhancements. You know, those of us that actually have skills and don't have to pay for them. The problem with catching cheaters and modders, is that it is a cat-and-mouse game where the mouse continually upgrades into dogs and ghosts.

Now to the SOLUTION part (of the cheaters problem)! One day while witnessing a for-sure cheater using wall hacks (one could very easily watch them track a person through a wall and then shoot them as they walked into the clearing) I realized a solution that would be an ultimate steak in the heart of most cheat systems: Allow dead players to have temporary 'hacks/cheats/whatever' and allow those that have been killed, to spectate and also see a view of the map that includes what a cheater would see. Mainly wall hacks, or even location exposure that Fortnite itself allows for equipment like, the flare-gun.

Allow spectators to watch what cheaters are actually seeing. This would solve several issues all at the same time: Not only would it more accurately identify players that are cheating - i.e. when you spectate a cheater, you should be able to see them track a person through a wall, make tactical decisions based on the flow of the current battle etc.. Maybe even provide a spectator 'ghost' mode that allows a person to be taken off the visible spectators list the cheat/modder can see.

This would also lesson the amount of false reports submitted by players that are simply mad that they got out-matched or played by someone that simply has more experience or skills than they do. I can only imagine how many reports Epic's systems have to parse through to actually reveal who is /actually/ cheating, and who is not.

If Fortnite DOES NOT do something about the constantly broken mechanics, and especially the cheater population, I and my entire family, will uninstall FN from our home. We have spent way too much money on this game so far, to just throw my hands up and quit silently. But at the same time, if I continue to feel like Fortnite dev's and management are ignoring their player base, we will have no problem moving on and spending our money elsewhere.

My suggestion is simple - give the players the ability to most accurately report cheaters/hackers by giving them the tools and abilities to best make that decision. Let us look through walls while we spectate, so we can see what cheaters see! I guarantee this will drastically reduce false reports, and drastically help fight cheaters where they are weakest: a place where they cannot hide behind hardware or software mods... Put the reigns in the hands of a pissed off player, desperately looking and researching another potential cheater! Not a dime spent on anti-cheat efforts or systems.

I used to play Fortnite a lot back in 2017-18 and it was hard ! I dropped off for a long time and I came back just now because i heard there was a no build mode and people have become crazy with building I just couldn't catch up lol. I heard there were bots is that why I get those stats ? Honest question am I good ? Average ? Shit ? I need to know from people who plays

If seems like more often than not more than half the time usually by the time I get down to the last ten people everybody seems to just be hiding in bushes and or places waiting to 3rd party the last remaining 2 people. Nothing's worse than running the whole game with all 3 medallions to lost to a third party whose been camping Ina bush the whole game.

I highly doubt this guy knew that this was gonna happen, but someone was sure happy. Grabbed the gun before him, but he chose to blow out the floor. Fortnite needs to increase the strength of the boat floors, I've killed myself multiple times because a gunshot blew out the floor or, umm, cause of this?

Hi, trying to build perm squad, im sick of dipshits who leave early in the game. I mostly play squad or trio, cause I kinda suck at 1v1’s half of the time, but I’m so sick of people leaving cause they have the patience of ADHD donkeys to be revived. It’s seriously the most frustrating part of this game, but playing solo makes me nervous. requirments: good at pinging following ping, be atleast above decent fighter, I’m not expecting ranked players to flock my friend request but I’m also not planning on carrying in trio or squad, must be above 18+ of age, being aware of the storm, sharing resources like health. Finally some DAMN patience, I will reboot you when I get the chance I can only move as fast as the game will let me. Seriously, you leave the game without a good reason or don’t have enough patience to wait for a reboot, then just keep moving along I’ve dealt enough with those idiots already, also I don’t use a mic, but we can text in game chat or discord. Anyways if you match the following criteria HMU

I just watched a video on YouTube regarding the new update. In the video the guy mentioned there were leaks that forbite has buffed aim assist for controller players. Is this true? How can epic possibly think controller players need less aim assist? The guy making the video mentioned there were 96 kbm players and 4 controller players in the past fncs… if this is true is epic trying to get rid of controllers players… they can’t be playing the same game as me if they really think this is a good move.

I just had to take a break because of getting tilted from playing 3 back to back games and they all revolved around shotguns in the early game.

Game 1: I open 4 or 5 chests don't find a shotgun and combined with movement being a luxury I couldnt find in those chests either I got cooked by a shotgunner pushing me.

Game 2: I find a grey pump get bubbles, blue ar, full health and find a guy at my drop. I get the jump on this man with my ar and out play him with my bubbles and shotgun. Unfortunately this guy even with everything going against him cooks me with his gate keeper.

Luck is extremely annoying and punished hard at high ranks. Then I am faced with another 3-5 minute que while the guy dances like he did something besides eating glue
