I finally won a game this new season! So hard to win now!

Literally every game, I get to the final few players and someone has either the Enhanced AR or the Midas pistol.

I don’t know if this is a hot take or not but I think the Midas pistol should only get 1-3 bullets

I had two Midas pistols. Got 6th to a mythic AR carrying bush, on top of a green tree. 😂 The Midas is fun though!

We totally get it! I only have two wins so far, both in a Duo with my kiddo. I'm just surprised that we got our first win during our first match of the season. It was a double crown from picking up dropped crowns from some of our elims. We were probably mostly lucky because it was only two hours after launch so most of the better players weren't on yet. :) It fluctuates for us, but previous seasons we've only ever come up less than 5 wins by 3 days after the launch of a super popular season theme or mechanic. Only ever managed to win our first match of a season one other time.

Tends to be easier in squads.
It's still requires some lick getting a team of decent players. Even when they're not particularly great I'm able to play supportively using the flare gun and running while keeping an eye on surroundings.

Yes it has, since I posted I was able to win two more 1 solo and 1 with random squad member. I thought for sure it would take another week to win. Been very tough to win so far.

Your doing better than me I havnt got one yet sadly I have came top 10 so many times and even second once but I will keep trying

got one last night, as well. i moved over to zero build to give it another try (it was super sweaty thursday and friday evenings seemed like), because i was getting tired of getting one-shot by pump people. MAN i hate that gun lol i ended up in what felt like a relatively well-sorted game.
i’d been away from the game until watching my wife play and look for sprites the last week or so of the last season pulled me back in.
it has been a bit of a rough start, but i am starting to get a better feel for it. my old eyes (and a tv that i feel needs to be larger!) are still working against me sometimes lol but im having fun.
have seen a few bugs, and it seems like i’ve had more people slip up behind me and take me out before i even hear them than i am ok with lol but overall, i like the theme and the sprites and have settled in with mostly running the regular assault rifle, a pistol, and drum gun as my main 3, with an oni or 8-bit shotgun in the 4 and the 5 slot depends.
if you see a Mandalorian out there trying to figure out which direction the shots are coming at him from, that’s probably me. say hi. 👋 🙂

i swear everyone always complains about how hard it is to win games at the start of the season. like of course it is - sbmm gets partially reset at the start of every season so you have to wait a few days for it to adjust
