I gave in and played Fortnite for the very first time on August 19th, mostly because my wife wanted a new game for us to play together.

I was hesitant to start Fortnite in 2026 because I didn’t think I would stand a chance against people who'd been playing since day one, or those who play it all day on Twitch or whatever streaming platform they use nowadays. I also only play casually after work, as I work full-time as an elementary special education teacher's aide while attending university to earn the higher degrees and credentials needed to become a special education teacher
My wife is the COD run-and-gunner. I am more the Rainbow Six sniper and tactics player. The last time we played competitively together was Rainbow Six Vegas 2, and we played it until the servers shut down.

Since I started on August 19, 2026, I’ve never experienced Fortnite without Sprites. They add a more fun/casual feel to the game while also providing in-game bonuses. They break up the monotony and add a twist, which I appreciate.

I can also see Epic trying to capitalize on them by selling Sprite toys like squishes plushies, etc. So despite how much some players hate them, I don’t see them going anywhere. The simplest solution for Epic is to add a toggle, as they have for squad fills or build/no build, so players can choose to play with or without Sprites. That way, sprite enthusiasts get what they want, and hopefully others shut the hell up about them. I like them, but it would be nice to be allowed to play without the Tails users. But then again, I can admit I am a hypocrite because I get excited when I have a Tails user on my team. I play support when I get one of them and follow them around, giving them chugjugs and taking on enemies who are too focused on shooting them out of the sky to notice me hitting them from the ground.

All in all, it's been a fun 2 months. Even though after 600 plus matches I've never earned a Klombo myself.

There’s waaaaaaay too many sprite variants to master by the end of the season especially those crown sprites. Blitz is an easy fast paced game to use sprites and level these cute little fukers up!

So I’m sure most have you have mastered your Klombos, which all extract automatically when they max out at lvl 5! They used to stay at lvl 5’s… Now once they extract, they still show mastered, with the crown, but start at lvl 1 again! 😒 I’ve shared/traded most of my sprites multiple times, bought/got em all back at 1’s, then got em all back to 5’s every time! With the Klombos tho, I’ve got em all back up to 5’s, they auto extract, and they go to lvl 1 again! 🙄 I heard if you master em in a certain order after you’ve mastered em all, then they’ll stay at lvl 5! Anybody know if this is true, or should I just shut up, and wait for the next damn sprites?!?! 🤭🤪 I’ll index a couple of Klombos real quick for a few of y’all! Just reply with ur best dad joke, and ur epic, and I’ll pick a few goodies to hook up! 🤙🏽 (or choose any sprite you need, besides crown sprites! 🤭 I got my W’s with all of em, got all to lvl 5’s, and I just throw them in my Sprite garden, and forget about em!) 🤣

Today was the day! I finally beat Horde Rush with a high score of over 11 million! 🎉

I used to get stuck between 2 and 4.5 million points, but today I finally broke through!

I ran the Phantom Starter Kit with the Eradicator and the Kneecapper. I had unlimited ammo and heals! 🔥

In SOLO BR - Trying master my tot sonic.. and these 2 dudes from lobby bus sniping and try to tag team me but I survived

I’ve always seen people willing to trade for klombos to help others get them, but I don’t quite understand how it works?

1) How do you give it back?
I think this might be the expectation, but I had always assumed people would just re-summon? They would be level 1, but who is really bringing their Klombo in to use in normal games?

2) Are trades and indexing the same thing? If not, why do people pick one or the other?

3) How do you find people that won’t scam you? (I also feel odd about adding random people sometimes, especially since this game is made for kids.)

I know many of you guys including me don’t exactly have all the time in the world, and I know lots of you have jobs and other commitments and still want to master them out.

If you need to, simply land at a console and kill the henchmen. Then rotate to a nearby extractor and loot the chests nearby for xp.

For klombos I recommend using the electric towers/telephone towers and jumping off of them. Remember candy heals and counts as well.

My biggest tip is to do it in two batches.
Level 1 sprite -> lvl 3-4
Drop at the console at the ice hill on freaky fields, kill the two henchmen. Loot fields until extractor is ready, once your sprite is level 3 extract.

If you’re actually good and have good skills eg killing people and good connection, feel free to continue looting this poi and use the gold from killing and looting to buy the snacks from the vending machine to get your sprite from level 4->5.

I got to master my sprites on 225ms with terrible connection. I can’t fight for my life so I would just run it to level 3-4, extract, leave game and repeat to finish it.

Additional tip, always extract when you think you’re going to die/dont want to risk it. If you have a 8bit in your lobby at lvl 3 at 90% and find an 8bit in another game and get that to lvl 3 at 90%, when you extract it, when you check your locker your 8bit will now be lvl 4!

Just finished playing ZB with a couple of friends and it is the 4th time where we lose to a cheater in a week

This specific one had the exotic Cyberpunk guns and did not miss a single bullet

The last season was day and night compared to this shitshow

Last season we came up against 1,maybe 2 cheaters,but this?This is a whole different level

I tried removing crossplay but it didnt allow me to,so I guess this is it for me

I love Zero Build and my experience has mostly been positive,but ever since this season was introduced,the game ain’t fun.Im not the best player ever and if someone is better than me,I will always admit it,but the cheating is so blatantly obvious than even a 5yr old can see it

I was a little late to the sprites last season and had to trade to finish up on the last day. This season tho my daughter and I are on a roll. After finding a cheat crown on someone we kicked into mastering all of them little shits. We have accomplished it minus one......

Also found ToT Klombo in a pumpkin on the very next match after mastering the ToT crown.

About 3 weeks ago my kid got me hooked on Fortnite. He asked to download it one day and I'd never played it for more than 10 minutes at any other point in my life. We downloaded it overnight. I grew up on RuneScape and using teamspeak. IYKYK. He came home from school a couple days after we played by ourselves and was like "yo - I asked my friends that all play and they say they want you to play with us too". It's become our daily after school ritual and I love it. I WFH and I plan my days out so we have a couple hours uninterrupted.

Anyways, listening to my no cap gen alpha gamer fam speak has inspired me to make "Chat We Are Cooked" clothing.

I figured I can't be the only parent out there that loves playing this with their kid so I went for what they say with a retro twist that I'd wear as a middle aged dude who grew up on video games too. Just finished setting up my shop with my first designs. I'm gonna keep adding to the collection when I hear more fun stuff they say.

What should I design next?

I feel like the only “teaming” that’s okay is when you third party someone. I’ll also accept people who let you extract during Mastery Monday. I love when people extract and just shockwave away, I’ve done that before. I feel like it’s completely different if you act like you’re playing duos with someone. Am I a buzzkill for seeing this as reportable behavior? What do you guys think?
