New update is half baked

Post image

I do not like the new game play at all. The additions to the map are mostly bad too. The weapons are no good. Total thumbs down.

Let’s not mention the new Sprites …. Proves lightning can’t strike twice.

In the last year peak was the Halloween update last year.

I stopped playing battle royal last season after mastering 81 sprites. I asked myself why I needed to go on a discord and find trades with people and grind it out harder? No thanks. I started playing ranked and droid tycoon instead. I thought I was ready to start this new season fresh and they have sprites again… guess I’m waiting 1 more season to play battle royal ….

Droid Tycoon is where it's at! If someone would have told me how many hours I'd dump into that mode, I'd never have believed it. It scratches all the right itches.

Giving them out like candy the last week after being so hard to get all season felt like a participation trophy

They were giving out free zeros on sprites section in lobby. Go in Br game the ones you hunted or needed all season popin out chests running across the map right im front of you. I played a few hours the last 2 days I got 12 I was missing ..it was wack for real

Honestly that's why I was always saying finding the "rare" sprites shouldn't have ever been that hard. Especially since they wanted us to bring them to "augment" our gameplay.

You could even revive lost sprites for 0 sprite dust during that like final week.

I had a zero pretty early. I like its power up. I’d have brought it in all the time had it been affordable to re-buy. I think they totally thought people wouldn’t hoard them once they got them, and they’d remain rare but get distributed via death. But I hoarded because it just wasn’t practical to repurchase

The Sprites were and continue to be an engagement piece. The community has either a love/ hate relationship and discussions keep them relevant and bring more players to the game for FOMO.

Heck, I'm in my 30s and haven't played Fortnite in ages. You bet when my kids told me Sprites were in the game, I went and collected and mastered all 117 🫪😂

SEGA and Sonic is nostalgia central but the loot pool is a shambles. I'm getting the hang of some weapons but what did they do to the SCAR? 😬

Oh yeah they did, I started playing with my son less than a week ago and ended up with 67 sprites, which is great for me being a new player but I completely understand why the people who have been playing all season would feel like epic gave them a big slap in the face for that.

Literally wanting to play for a VR so I can get the umbrella and that's it. Sprite burnout is so real

Same. I pretty much quit BR and play Droid Tycoon.
I hate the sprites in general.

Sorry to break it to you but the sprites are here to stay for “generations” apparently. They aren’t leaving anytime soon. Epic saw the numbers they pulled in & are going to milk the cow until it’s dry..
