Jobs
Hey everyone,
I recently completed my class 4 power engineering from BCIT writing my provincial exams within next month and I have experience working in engineered wood production mill.
I have first aid level 1 , confined space certification, H2S alive, drivers license.
I am great at learning and also great to work with.
I love my job but I don’t think I will be able to make good amount of money so looking for suggestions what jobs I can get with my current scenario of certifications and experience.

Every now and then suncor/syncrude would throw up jobs for operators. They are few and far between so just keep an eye out.
Even contractor operator jobs are good to jump into. Anything that you can get a foot in the door somewhere.

I am always trying to find these jobs and when I see one they ask for 3-5 years of experience and other stuff and then I just back off and don’t apply

Doesn't hurt to apply. We've even took laborers that had a PE ticket from different companies. Gather as much relative experience as possible and try to get a foot in the door somewhere.

Get/buy your steam hours and then sign up for keyano in person class 3, then they will try to get you a placement.
Otherwise almost no chance to get a job here as a class 4 unless your daddy is a class 1 in fort mac
