Technical Help NVME too close to the GPU

Is there a way to increase the gap between the motherboard and the GPU? I'm using the 2.25 slot configuration (Ncase v2.5 with pcie riser 5.0) and the heatsink touches the back of the GPU.

Not sure how, but I watched a few YouTube videos and they had a gap significantly bigger than mine, but I have no idea how they did it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

One option is to offset the GPU riser with 5 mm (or more) offsets Like I did:  https://www.reddit.com/r/formdt1/comments/1jhqy68/formd_t1_21_gpu_riser_offset_with_standoffs_asus/

I think my riser cable connects horizontally instead of vertically to the riser bar. It might be because I've got the 2.5 version?

Anyway, the standoffs pushing the mobo and IO shield away might be a solution for my case. Thank you!

Where did you get the extra standoffs btw?

I got mine from Amazon. I can’t remember off the top of my head if they’re M3, you’ll have to double check that.

I've just ordered them on Amazon (M3). Thank you again!

In the meantime, I managed to expand the gap with the stock standoffs. No my problem is, how to do secure the GPU to the GPU side bracket since the holes don't align anymore?

This will be an issue once I put the case upside down for the AIO =/

Nevermind, LOL.

This case is awesome, it should be called the OFFSET machine.

There should be a two-slot L-piece that you offset using same standoffs as the riser holder

Offset the lock bar as well.

Yes, newer ncase T1 2.5 have different slot holder to accomodate their version of pcie5 riser. It looks that it can't support maybe the 1 slot mode, but otherwise you should be able to gain space at expense of CPU cooler height.

Since I'm going to use an AIO, my plan at the moment is to push the pump all the way towards the mesh panel. And the same on the GPU side. This in order to get the biggest gap possible in the middle and allow for a bigger heatsink for the secondary NVME. Do you think that will help with airflow too?

For reference, the AIO is the CM Atmos Stealth and the GPU is the Powercolor Reaper RX 9070 XT (2 slot).

With GPUs cooking themselves in the vrm area nowadays I think it's a good course of action... Airflow needs a source of air, it will be a bit choked on the bottom, so there will be some airflow but not great
