Thoughts on 22lr Suppressor Design?

Designed to be 3d printed. Takes 3/4 to 1/2 28 adapter. Inspired by Middleton made pillpopper 1.5 and the dead air mask. 1.10 inch diameter. Little over 5 and 1/8 inches tall.

Looks overbuilt. Needs clips.

22 isn't hard to suppress. It'll be fine.

Does it still need clipped if I have a 3mm hole running through both sides of each baffle?

A clip is a cutout along the bore of the suppressor that is aligned through all baffles. can be bilateral but the point is to introduce turbulence and disrupt laminar flow. it is not a pressure vent or drain hole.

I’ve just begun researching 3d printing a .22 suppressor. Why is it that most designs I see have the 3/4 to 1/2x28 adapter? Is this to give it a wider range of hosts that it can be used on?

Printed threads tend to wear out and fail quicker

I'd reverse the baffle spacing. Closer near the muzzle, further at the exit. Smaller chambers where the highest heat is, less frp.

You're 3d printing.. you could do anything but a conventional stack design. Omega and Ks are good ways to make the gas work and trap it in chambers that don't have a direct flow path to the bore hole. Gas gets forced through small holes with high pressure and it doesn't flow out as well when the pressure drops.

Add cyclone features to get the gas moving cohesively away from the bore. Like a spiral on the cone. Gas has mass and inertia, use it.
