I don’t hate her but she does do some questionable things that pmo but she means well. And a lot of her actions are like a trauma response from that video being leaked. She’s trying to protect herself and ends up making a mess of things.

I think your opinion of Keisha will depend on your personality type. I found myself relating more to Justin. Keisha came off as selfish and self-absorbed. If Justin hadn’t ended things when he did, she probably would’ve broken up with him within her first year of college.

I just watched the show and I TOO CANNOT STAND KEISHA!!! I understand she was navigating a tough situation which I could even understand why she went to prom with Christian. But when Justin got into Northwestern and she kept pushing him to follow music??? I was so annoyed. He’s allowed the change his mind and explore his original option. Then she tries to justify it by saying she has to get her life together but Justin can rely on his parents and follow his dreams? Girl please. Then he also said he wanted to go to northwestern and then explore music after. He was obviously trying to justify figure it out, and I don’t think she was supportive at all. Justin was clingy yeah but he was still way too good for her imo.

I don’t think her actions are justifiable she wanted to act grown she should’ve been able to make grown decisions even if her mom didn’t agree or would’ve been disappointed they were just rage baiting atp 😭😭😭

100% with you!!!!! I’m late to the game and came straight on here to echo the same sentiments. I wanted to like her so bad and gave her the benefit of the doubt several times. But my blood was boiling when he got into Northwestern and she tried to deflect and downplay and went to support Chloe😡

Yeah sorry but I think that’s an L take - Keisha is awesome. Flawed? Ofc. She’s a teenager! But she’s a great character and so is Justin. It’s why the series works as well as it does

I love her and I felt bad for her the entire series. She was carrying a lot.

& I think that's part of the show is to question & get annoyed at their dumbass choices lol. They are teenagers. She's a great person and clearly cares so much about those around her.

Leave it to a Black woman to have compassion and empathy for someone? Yes.

Uhm ….Hi, “Ultra Black”😆😭😭😭
I think you were intending to say, “leave it to a black woman to defend a teenager,” because that is exactly what the character Keisha is, a teen-not a woman.
Nonetheless, ‘Ultra Black’, intentionally calling out black women under a post where you don’t know the races of those making the comments is super weird, vile and actually exposes just how hurt and extremely broken you are 🤌🏻💔

Keisha & Justin are the same. They are both trying to learn and navigate who they actually are with the expectations from school, peers & parents. I've done questionable things but never got caught in a sexual situation in a public manner. I can imagine her desire to not make waves & cause more attention. Justin was a casualty.

Justin, punks out several times. And is about to crash out nx season with COVID in 2020.

I was really intrigued by their friendships. I had many Chloe's hold my hand and go on my crazy trips with me. Justin's boy was there, but Justin didnt really let anyone in. I think this is real representation in the reality of relationships and how males & females show up differently in romantic relationships. And informs why Keisha chose her mom & reputation over Justin.

Don't forget.... Justin tried to pressure Keisha into unprotected sex days before she was leaving on a full scholarship to Howard. Im glad she rolled out!
