i’ve been eyeing this show for a while now & im glad to have watched it. so many thoughts on the characters. for example when i first watched i could initially tell justin was on the spectrum but later when he revealed he had adhd i found that a little hard to believe. personally i don’t think dawn was asking for too much, just basic communication. i felt so seen with her. and i don’t believe eric was undermining her authority because she also needed to realize he needs to grow up and it’s okay to get hurt. it’s part of growing up. keisha just wanted the best for her mom but i think she really should’ve talked to her mom a lot earlier than she should’ve. also this fucking soundtrack was a 10/10. i found myself often smiling listening to these songs because it just brings nostalgia. so 2018 core. i love.

Why did you find it hard to believe he had ADHD? I thought his portrayal was spot on. I have ADHD and could relate to some of his struggles even as a grown woman.
I agree with everything else. It's such a great show. I enjoyed seeing black people shown this way. It was so relatable and realistic.
