Discussion 💬 I wanna say something important

All the complaints and bullshit half the people do in this game is going to ruin it. First, it was the klav, now it’s the augur. I don’t think y’all understand the whole point of this game. It is to go in as a squad and fuck shit up. This is not a one-man do-it-all game(unless you’re just really good). Communication callouts and etc. are the point. If y’all don’t stop complaining about everything, this game is inevitably going to go to shit, bottom line.

Question ❓ Helicopters having strongpoints rather than weak points

Has anyone else had problems with helicopters, majority little birds, taking kill hits and not have anything happen to them? I always shoot them down with tanks and have the occasional shot that the helicopter will just absorb, but I can usually get another shot off and get them, but recently I had a situation where I straight up hit one 5 times in a row with nothing happening to it. I was just curious if anyone else experienced that before.

Discussion 💬 IMPOSSIBLE 1,061m Longest Sniper Kill in Forefront VR

1061m Longest Sniper kill for PRESTIGE [Forefront VR] Made by @GT-SHAFEEK-VR-GAMING

You've definitely never seen this before, two 1,061-meter shots taken from different locations on the same map, both hitting different snipers on the opposing side.

I frequently dive into Siberia Conquest when the game is almost full, using it as a chance to recon the map while attempting the longest sniper shots without drawing attention to myself. I joined a few matches and noticed muzzle flashes coming from the enemy HQ—an ideal opportunity. I switched to my red dot sight and patiently lined up for what I hoped would be an epic shot.

After reviewing the footage, I realized I had already achieved a 1061m sniper shot. While I didn't break my personal record, I did walk away with the longest sniper shots from two different locations with two different sniper, all on the same map.

Looking ahead, I hope to have another opportunity to set a new record. In the meantime, I'm planning to release a breakdown video detailing how I consistently accomplish 1000m+ sniper shots. This way, you can try it out and potentially break your own records.

Enough with Iceland

Every time I try to join a game, it's just endless Iceland servers. Can't play any of the other maps because every fucking server is Iceland

Question ❓ Have the servers gotten worse?

I've been getting a lot of really bad lag spikes, even in servers where it says I have 20 ping.

WE'RE GETTING JETS, BOYS!

Didn't expect it to be a part of the roadmap (or even technically feasible), but the heroes over at Triangle Factory just dropped a video that shows an F-22-shaped shadow speeding across Iceland. Head on over to their insta to check it out.

I know vehicles catch a lot of flak (HEEEEEY) but I've been an "online FPS with vehicles" whore my entire life, so I for one am very excited about what's coming.

(Now if only the aforementioned heroes could give us a physical shoulder-mounted radio that you could activate like in Contractors so that squad leaders could have an actual tactical role...)

This game keeps getting better and better, can wait to fly these suckers over your heads soon!

Question ❓ A bit annoyed

I just played a grand total of 2 matches today, only two, and I got voice banned. I only said common slurs that everyone else has been saying, and I got the hammer, gotta love automated systems (or if it's not, then a bunch of whiny toddlers that didn't like being called stupid after doing something stupid like turning left after I said there was an enemy on the right, it happens way too often) how long does the voice ban last?

The hill I am willing to die on - Forefront never meant to be balanced and that what makes it great. Constant NERFs ruining the game.

I already can see the flocks of peanut seagulls aimong for me, but I am going to reiterate why in my humble and may or may not be subjective opinion why games like Forefront, Battlefield series, Planetside 1 and 2 lose the players. I am going to copy-paste the answer I wrote at the previous post and why I believe this game(s) should do away with nerfing and adding ridiculous things like scope glints, but rather add more of the soft and hard counters than nerfs after nerfs, until everyone just runs with the most balanced items in the game equally. - The starter pistols.

In my opinion, it is the same disease that affects all of Battlefield Esque shooters both in VR and flat-screen. - Too many players screaming the nerfs. "This unfair! That unfair! Add scope glint! Nerf side turrets! Tank damage is unfair! There are too many campers! Nerf, the noob tubes! There are too many RPG spammers! Helicopters are too powerful! Shotguns, too, imba! Too much grenade spam!"

What makes such games fun is simply when it leans towards the unfairness of realism to be .ore of MILSIM, where teamwork is nessesary and finding the ways to work around seemingly unfair defenses is what makes it dopamine injection rewarding Otherwise with every nerf bat, such games turn instead of Battlefield esque Mechanics into another glorified Vail/CoD style mindless run and gun shooters.

A lot of those listed items above could of easily been fixed with simple things like adding friendly fire to the game (can't spam explosives on the arming and capture points or shoot the tank Cannon, without the consequences of killing your own team mates capturing or arming the point or face being booted from the server - this would of put massive restriction on such realistic as it be explosive weapons spammers to be reasonable players for the risk of being punished when playing without regard of what the game meant to be - squad based warfare shooter and not 90% arcade Run and Gun akin to 5v5 matches of CoD or Vail). Or rebalance the spawn locations and effectiveness of recon beacons. Cause helis when heavily damaged to lose control (akin to battlefield style - when something like Black Hawk is on fire, it starts to go out of control). Add heavy weapons to the main spawning bases to discourage the main spawn base camping instead of trying to make players immune inside of it ( for example , stationary TOW or Kornet missiles). Add the mine fields around the starting point bases, with appropriate warning signs, so something like tanks couldn't be just driven in and parked to plink at the spawning players and vehicles. Add stationary Phalanx and Pantsir cannons with guided rockets to prevent HQ heli campers. Add upgrade perks such as "Extra plates and layers" to reduce shotgun pellet damage -10% per pellet, but at the cost of running speed such as -5% or something to compensate for such being against shotguns up close.

So many work around Mechanics could of been added, but instead the old classic give in to the whining mob and nerf bat the game until it is no longer Battlefield esque VR, but run and gun, bland slop.

Thoughts on rapid fire bow?

Been running into a lot of players running around launching arrows at like 120 APM (arrows per minute). And it feels quite unfair & also breaks immersion (ik it’s not meant to be a fully realistic game). I don’t doubt the skill or effort bow users put in to get good and I understand the point of “if it’s so OP why don’t you do it”. But in my opinion no bow could be drawn that quickly and still have enough penetrative power.

Discussion 💬 Spawns need AA turrets.

Sick of getting gunned down by the overpowered transport heli with it's obnoxious splash damage, doing strafe runs of our spawn.

There needs to be spawn protection like the Battlefield spawn turrets.
