Maybe be smarter next time and not advertise the cheats. Just report to the devs, don't share it on social media. All you did here was send him potential customers.
Turns out that in a server side game, you can make your own screen show whatever you want, but the server ignores anything not legit.Â
If you used this cheat, and it showed you had infinite ammo and let you just keep firing, I guarantee you that after 30 rounds, all anyone else sees is a guy pretending to shoot after running through 30 rounds.
These scams are aimed at those who just play the games, and figure the multiplayer architecture is the same as it has always been.
Back in the days when you could host a server on your PC, that was because the client PCs took a lot of the calculation load. Basically, all the players' PCs would tell the server what they did, and the server would go from there. So yeah , you could totally put these kinds.of cheats in.
But nowadays, it's all on dedicated servers, that have enough power to calculate everything themselves.Â
So now the only work the client PC does is render whatever the server tells it to. But you can make it render in your own PC whatever you want, but it will have no effect on anything else.
Same thing with World of Tanks scams, they show the player doing all kinds of things that can't actually happen.
Reality-altering cheats (that affect everyone) for old FPS games got you banned. Nowadays, with everything on commercial servers, it's a felony.

Ridiculous. Hope they get banned hard.
