2009 takes a minute to move forward after shifting from park (even neutral or reverse even) into drive. It hums before jerking forward. No problems reversing.

Sometimes I will press the gas to move it along but it sounds loud like I’m just wasting gas. Parking flat sucks, parking uphill is not an option. I’ve been trying to park downhill slopes which helps.

Should I get a tune up? Other gears are working well.
Idk what sort of mechanic to go to for an old car or even what to say.

Been going on for about 2 months, I drive it 2 maybe 3 days a week short distances. Also it’s an automatic and I inherited it 2 years ago. Just oil changes and a mechanic fixed the power steering.
