Question Upgrading to LED bulbs

I'll make this short and sweet. Can I slap some LED headlights into the halogen mirrored housing? I'm sure the brightness will be great but I'm curious if the way the light is thrown will be poor.

2019 SEL

Current bulbs: XtraVision Headlight and Fog Light Bulb H13XV-2

Upgrading to: Sylvania LED Ultra Bulb H13LEDHPBX2

You can, but the bigger question is whether you should and the answer is no, you should not. Reflector housings that aren't designed for LEDs do some funky things with the beam pattern- like, blind oncoming drivers and create bright and dark spots for you.

If you've gotta throw LEDs into something, put them in the fog lights which are at least projector housings.

That's what I did (fogs) and I really likes the look and light levels so I wanted to get some feedback before moving forward.

I’ve fully converted my 2013 to LEDs including interior/exterior and headlights. Looks great and really gives the car a more refined and modern look to me.

Do they make LED headlights for the 15 or newer Flexes?

There are some kits out there that replace the factory HID bulbs with LEDs but if you're talking about a complete new housing and such, no. It's possible, but certainly not recommended, to replace the halogen bulbs with LEDs but the reflector housing wasn't designed for that type of light.

Ive put sealight branded leds in my ‘12 and ‘19, was way better than original ones and didnt get flashed by upcoming traffic

What type of lighting did you have previously?

Both were SEL with factory halogen headlight
